Chapter 18💛

(y/n)'s POV

By the time it was Monday, I had already punched Tetsu 18 times for teasing me about Yaku. I wasn't sure who told him but he wouldn't shut up about it and kept telling me that he 'knew all along'.

He finally decided to be quiet when we walked to school with Yaku on Monday morning. At first I thought it was because he was being nice but I saw him texting Kenma and realised he was just distracted.

On the way to school Yaku and I spoke about our plans to study together. I could tell he was excited because of how much he was smiling the entire time.

"Oh by the way (y/n), I know you normally get lunch from the cafeteria but I... uh made extra food today so you can have some if you want," He sounded quite nervous and was fidgeting slightly.

"I'd love to! Thanks Yaku," I smiled and he seemed to calm down.

"Wait Yakkun? Did you make me any?" Tetsu suddenly wanted to be involved with the conversation.

Yaku glared daggers at Tetsu, "Why would I?"

"Ehhh!? Yakkun! So mean!" He looked so hurt and went back to texting Kenma. I giggled at Tetsu's reaction and Yaku quickly looked at me smiling from ear to ear and blushing slightly.

We spoke for the rest of the journey to school and Yaku even insisted to walk me to my classroom. We got to the doors and I could see Aki waving at me from in the classroom.

"Thanks for walking with me Yaku, I'll be going now,"

"No problem, see y-" I pulled him into a hug as he spoke and I noticed him freeze. After a few seconds he hugged me back and when he pulled away he was smiling sweetly. "Bye (y/n), see you at lunch."

I gave him a small wave and walked into the classroom. As soon as I stepped foot into the room Aki ran over to me.

"Did you just hug Yaku Morisuke?! As in the volleyball team's libero, Yaku Morisuke?!" She looked like she'd won the lottery. I quickly shushed her and we walked to our desks and sat down. I told her that he's just one of my good friends and it's nothing.

"Oh okay. By the way, do you wanna eat lunch with me today?" She said as she started doodling on her hand.

"I can't this week, I'm studying with my friend in the library all week for the Geography test, sorry,"

"Oh that's fine, pass me your hand," She'd covered her hand with drawings of tiny hearts and wanted to draw on mine.

We sat and spoke about the lessons we had that day while Aki covered my hand and some of my arm with drawings of hearts and flowers.

The teacher soon arrived and told everyone to settle down before she started teaching.
