(y/n)'s POV
Once Yaku and I were alone and the others weren't close enough to hear us, Yaku started to fidget and wouldn't look at me.
"Yaku, are you okay? Is something wrong?"
He looked at me and I could see a small blush on his face,
"O-oh no, I'm okay! I'm great actually! I just.. uh.. wanted to ask you something," I could tell by his voice that he was nervous,
"Oh, what is it?", as soon as I started talking he looked away,
"I know this may be sudden, and please don't be afraid to say no but.." I watched as he tried to hide how much he was blushing, still avoiding eye contact with me, "If you don't mind, could we maybe...." He mumbled the rest of his question,
"What was that? Sorry, I couldn't hear,"
"Do you want to..." He began to mumble again,
"Yaku, I can't hear you."
He stood up straight and cleared his throat before looking me in the eye and speaking,
"(y/n), would you like to go on a date with me?"
I was flustered, both by his question and his sudden confidence, and I felt heat rush to my face.
Yaku stood waiting for an answer while flashing the sweetest smile I had ever seen,
"I.. uh" I could barely speak,
His smile suddenly faded and his voice sounded slightly hurt, "Y-you can say no, that's perfectly fine,"
"No!" He looked even more hurt, "No, I mean yes!"
Yaku just looked confused.
"I mean, of course I want to go on a date with you!" His face lit up and that smile reappeared,
"Really? With me?" He sounded like an excited little kid. I nodded and his smile grew even more.
Before I could react he had pulled me into a hug, "Thank you so much, (y/n)"
I hesitantly hugged him back and we stayed like that until there was a shout from the team,
"Get a room!"
Yaku and I quickly pulled apart,
"Shut it Tetsu!" I shouted back,
We walked back to the ground and Yaku told me he'd message me info about our date,
I was overwhelmed with joy, Yaku has asked me on a date, this was real!
