The next few weeks went by quickly. Levi made sure not to leave Eren alone for too long in school. It was like the taller teen had a knack for finding trouble. Armin and Petra began talking. They could be seen walking around school a lot together. Maybe having been so close to the first gay couple in school, they found a friendship in that. It wasn't until the Friday before the big battle of the bands that everyone realized it might not just be friendship.

Levi and Eren were coming down the hall to their lockers. They both stopped in shock as they saw Armin pressing Petra against the grey metal doors. His mouth covering hers. her hands wound around his neck. Mikasa was on the other side of them staring just as shocked.

Levi broke first. His hand fell to Armin's shoulder. The boy yelped pulling back. His face turning multiple shades of embarrassment. “Don’t hurt her.” The short jock whispered in his ear.

Armin grinned at him. “Wasn’t going to.” He laughed awkwardly. Petra just chuckled.

“Isn't he just a doll.” She cooed pinching his cheek.

“Ugh, so glad you never did that shit to me!” Levi growled.

“You're too much of a grouch.” She stated. Eren came over kissing Levi's cheek, “but he's my grouch. You coming tonight?” he asked Petra.

“You're not playing tonight, right?” she asked. Eren shook his head at her.

“No, it's just a kick off party. All the bands play tomorrow.  The crowd cheers for their favorites.” He explained.

“Tonight is just for the bands and their guests.” Armin told her. She nodded.

“Alright, then yes I would love to join you.” Levi chuckled.

“Alright you can either met us at Yeager's or I can pick you up.” He offered.

“Um, I can met you at Eren's that way you wouldn’t have to drive me home.” She said. He nodded as they all walked out to the parking lot. They said goodbye to the girl as Armin got in the truck.

“Hey Romeo, move over.” Mikasa yelled when Armin stopped in the middle of the truck.

“I can't there's a box here.” Levi looked back. A plain white box sat on the seat. It looked like the kind flowers were delivered in. He told Armin to hand it to him. He opened it. Inside was a dozen red and white Rose’s. Under it was a bloody knife. Levi glared at it.

His eyes flicked up to look around the parking lot. “Hey, what is it?” Eren asked.

“Nothing, just someone letting me know he isn’t dead after all.” Levi started the truck and they drove home. Eren had been spending most of his time at Levi's place. His parents still had no clue that their tiny quests was dating their son. Whenever Mikasa asked him when he was going to tell them he just told her to shut up.

Levi was pretty sure the only reason Eren hadn't told his parents was because they would restrict him spending the night at his place. Not that it would have stopped the young crime boss from sneaking the kid out.

Now they went up to Levi's place to get their homework done. Levi made them all sandwiches and brought out various bags of chips. He got them all bottled water to drink as he sat down taking a place around the coffee table to work.

At seven Petra arrived. They got in Levi's truck and rode down to the Scout Regiment. It was an old barn that the owner turned into a night club for teens. Some arcade games lined the front part. After that was a small snack area. Upstairs in the old hay loft was a skate rink. Under it sat the stage and dance floor.

There were speakers and microphones as well as a drum kit set up. “Why is there a kit?” Levi asked frowning at it.

“Because it takes too long to set up the drums. We will have fifteen minutes for the band before us to get off stage and us to be ready to play.” The group made their way up to the bar.
