Levi slipped into the warehouse. His small body making little sound as he navigated to the room where Eren was hanging from the ceiling. Only slightly surprised that he didn’t run into booby traps or his uncle, Levi stopped in the shadow of the door way. A pool of light shining from beneath the boy had his cut and beaten body on full display. Naked he hung above the construction lights as if he were some grotesque angle. Looking up at him, Levi felt the rage boiling in him.
Blood dripped from multiple places. He wasn’t sure if there was a single part of the boys body that wasn’t bleeding. Kenny had crudely carved his own name across the boys chest. A line of blood slipped along his stomach to draw the short man's eyes to the limp mutilated cock. Levi didn’t want to know what else was happening to the boy. Fear anger and a rush of other emotions ran through him, nothing that would be helpful in the hours to come.
He stood hiding in the shadows, watching the boy's still body. Stilling his own inner fears, the singer narrowed his vision to watch the boy’s chest. He counted his own heart beats as he saw that the other’s chest was still inflating and deflating. Right now, at this moment that was all he needed to know. He gave into the blind rage. Briefly he let it flow over him. It gave his voice more power. Drawing a deep breath he screamed out all of his frustration, rage and fear into one word.
“KENNY!!” He bellowed. The boy on the wire jerked. Small slits opened on his bruised face. Levi stepped into the light so the kid could see him. It was only for a moment, no need to allow Kenny the chance to surprise him. When he saw Eren's gasp of recognition, he sighed. The boy knew he was here for him. Now it was his turn to do all he could. Allowing the cold wave of nothingness to come over him. He pushed aside all thoughts, all emotions, narrowing his focus to just one goal.
The rage, although not gone, turned cold, burned in his veins as he prepared for battle. It would be the most difficult of his life, battling his teacher. In times like this the movies showed montages of the teacher showing the student what to do. Like that was what the person was thinking about. Remembering all the times they shared, how the mentor helped him.
The only good thing Kenny ever did for him was feed him. Learning to fight was more just watching the taller man go about his day. It was like the man lived only for his next chance to fight, to kill or to inflict pain on those weaker than him. If anyone tried to appear stronger than the slim quiet man, then he found their weakness and exploited it quickly.
For Levi there was no tender teachings, no reminiscences of past shared closeness with the man he was preparing to kill. In his case there was only one thing he needed to keep in mind. Only one thought that he wanted to return to. If he was going to die today, he only wanted to see that picture once more. An image of Eren lying in Levi's bed smiling up at him.
They had just finished having sex. The boy was tired, sweaty but happy. His blue green eyes alight with love and enjoyment of the man looking down at him. That was what Levi would fight for. He would do anything to ensure that smile never went dark. He loved that smile, that face, that boy. An ache rose in his chest. He allowed it its moment before forcing it away. Now he was ready.
He shoved the image aside. This was Kenny after all. Knowing that he must have all his focus on the man he faced, he couldn’t fight on pure emotion. Checking to make sure the knife was in his pocket he gripped the swords. Tonight either he would die, or his mentor would. Preferably, if he couldn’t end Kenny's life no other way, than both would.
Silently, he launched himself into the darkness around the perimeter of the room. The man would be close by. He would have wanted to see Levi's reaction to the tortured body of his lover. The psychological games this man played would be deadly to anyone else. Levi, however, had been raised with them. They did little to sway his true intent. He would deal with the fallout later, if he survived.
