DREAMS
PART ONE:
Ada:
"Daddy?! Where are you" She was walking around, the lights were off and all the ornaments and picture frames can come crashing to the floor. The house was eerily quiet, empty, and she could not figure out where her father had gone.
As she neared the front door, she saw a mass of black. She couldn't be sure if they were shadows or people wearing long cloaks, but it went away, quick as lightening.
"Mommy?!" She was calling, but with no reply. She sat on the kitchen floor and the dream ended with the vision of a face.
Headmaster Charleston.
Tommy:
"Let go of my son!" A woman screamed. Things were being thrown, whizzing past his head, in a flash. Tommy cowered and struggled to get out of the claws he was in.
Suddenly there was a loud screech and he fell to the floor. He scrambled away, only to be picked up again after a few seconds. This time, a woman's loving touch held him close to her chest. She must be his mother.
"Elaine, look out!" A man's voice bellowed. All of a sudden he was crashing back down to the ground. His mothers face slammed down on the floor beside him, her eyes open wide, emotionless, and a thing trickle of blood escaped the side of her mouth, forming a small pool on the hard wooden floor.
The lights flickered as Tommy tried to crawl away, dodging the feet of his father, fighting with the monster that just harmed his mother. Was she dead?
His father joined his mother, on the ground and the shadow men disappeared in a loud flash. Another figure stood in their place, holding a long sword. The blade must have been at least three feet long.
Only now did he realise who it was.
Miss Lydia Bowen.
Cory:
The long black hair. That was the first thing about this dream that he recognised. The long black hair meant that the woman who had just kissed him goodnight and tucked him into bed was his mother.
This time in the dream, another detail stood out. A tattoo on her forearm. He only saw it for a split second but to him it looked like a sword, with something wound around it. Could have been a rope, maybe a snake.
He closed his eyes, and the dream cut to a image of his mother. Standing at the kitchen sink, washing the Thomas The Tank Engine plate clean of spaghetti and toast crumbs, his favourite late night supper. A bang. The door swinging open and a strong gust of wind blew in, followed by a quick black cloud which claimed his mother.
In the blink of an eye, the cloud had taken her, leaving nothing but a trail of blood and scratch marks in the floor where she had clawed, trying to get away.
PART TWO:
The mind bock lesson, along with the lack of Mind Block powder, had worked. They were getting their memories back, starting with the violent and scary ways their parents met their ends. And how they ended up here.
Cory woke up in a sweat, screaming for his mother. Wondering what those last few moments were like for her. Being pulled away from her child, not knowing what was going to happen to her, or what would happen to him.
Sleeping that night wasn't easy for Tommy, either. He thought he would just fall straight to sleep and that would be it until his alarm went off in the morning, but he woke up several times, despite only getting to sleep at almost one in the morning, thanks to Lee's party.
His sleep was filled with dreams... Strange ones, scary ones, also ones that he could swear he'd had before.
Ada had woken Eva up twice, screaming. At three o'clock in the morning the only thing Eva had managed to get out of Ada was the word 'sunrise'. But she didn't know what that meant. Ada was too sleepy to wake up and speak properly.
Eva's dreams had been much the same. In hers, a boy was also with her, wandering around late at night in the streets. Her mother had just been horrifically murdered in front of her, and so had his. They were only around five years old at this time.
He had brown wavy hair, down to his shoulders an big green eyes, with tears welling in them. She remembered seeing him take something out of his pocket which created a bright light, and suddenly everything went black.
The Mind Block class had been very different that morning. Thy had been in separate rooms, just with their coach. Just in case someone had a particularly scary or upsetting vision and needed time alone. Eva had asked if it said anything about the boy in her binder, but her coach couldn't find anything. Apparently she had been brought here by Miss Bowen, but that wasn't what her dream had suggested.
