(Time skip: In the jungle with the Old Builders Temple)
Lukas' P.O.V
"And this, my new friends, is the temple of the Old Builders." Ivor announced as we came up on the old building again.
Our new group of four made our way deep into the jungle to find the Old Builders Temple. I've only been here once. While Jesse, Petra, Olivia, and Axel were all known as the New Order of the Stone after they took down the Wither Storm they went on all kinds of expeditions. I remembered I was helping people rebuild from the destruction of the storm before I met them back in town. Ivor was freaking out about the Portal Key they had found inside this temple and that lead to our adventures in the Portal Hallway.
"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh, this is the actual Old Builders Temple when the New Order of the Stone found the exceedingly rare Enchanted Flint & Steel?!" Radar squealed, his fanboyness barley containing itself.
I chuckled at his excitement, "Yes. This is where the whole portal adventure started. It's been a long time..."
"This reminds me of the time when I found the temple of the on top of the forgotten volcano. That place almost blew me to smithereens but I prevailed." Jack boldly posed as he told another one of his tales.
We stopped at the temple's entrance and Ivor looked at it sadly, "Yes, I remember like it was yesterday. The Blazerods took our Portal Key and completely destroyed Sky City."
"Blazerods? What kind of a name is that?" Jack asked.
"Oh, I know!" Radar yelled as raised his hand, "Lukas used to be in a team called the Ocelots and after he became a part of the Order of the Stone his friends Aiden, Maya, and Gill became the Blazerods. I read about it in your book Lukas."
I nodded to him, "Yeah, that's what happened. After they changed to the Blazerods Aiden became incredibly jealous at Jesse because he thought she was taking all of the world treasures for herself."
Ivor scoffed and rolled his eyes with annoyance, "Then Aiden took the Portal Key from us and hopped into the portal to Sky City. He almost destroyed the city until Jesse was able to show him how crazy he sounded."
I grinned at Ivor, bumping him with my elbow, "Are you still upset we didn't take the Everscorce?"
Ivor crosses his arms and looked away, "I was when we first decided to leave it but I've gotten over that by now."
I laughed and started up the stairs into the temple, "Okay. First we need to get to Sky City."
"Why do we have to go to Sky City?" Jack questioned as he followed me.
"Oh oh oh!" Radar squealed again as he followed us, "Because the other half of the portal in Sky City lead them too the Portal Hallway! I also read that in your book."
I smiled over my shoulder, "You've done your research Radar."
He blushed and rubbed the back of his head, "Well, how could I not read up on the coolest set of heroes of all time?"
Once inside the temple there was just a small room with a door indented into the middle of the floor. On each of the walls I noticed the activated lava streams and flipped switches next to them. Jesse had said that the lava streams were connected to the indentation in the floor that opened up to a staircase. That lead them to the Portal Key but the portal itself was somewhere else inside the temple. I just had to remember how we got to it before.
"Is this some kind of puzzle?" Radar asked as he flipped to one of the levers to the lava channels.
Jack squinted his eyes, waiting for something to happen but nothing did, "Looks like nothing happened."
