"Haha. Very funny." I rolled my eyes.

"Im serious. I still love you." Part of me wanted to believe him, but I couldn't.

"You told me you didn't love me. Remember?"

His eyes dropped to the ground. "Whatever." He mumbled.

I continued my search through the closet. Nothing, nothing, and nothing. This place must've already been cleared out. Daryl and I searched through a few more classrooms only finding one container of formula, four baby bottles, and some clothes.

We met up with Rick, Glenn, and Maggie. "Find anything?" Rick asked.

Daryl grunted. "Nothing."

I rolled my eyes, again. "We found a container of formula, baby food and some clothes. What'd you guys find?"

"Not much. Just some jars of baby food and half a container of formula." Maggie answered.

"Who leaves half a container of formula?" I asked. Maggie shrugged her shoulders.

"Well, thats better than nothing."

"Alright, lets go to that gas station you were talking about." Rick said.

Daryl pushed past me. I glared at him. Maggie mouthed silently, "what happened?" I mouthed back, "tell you later."

--------------------------------------------------------

"Woah." Maggie said. We were sitting across from each other on my bed.

"Yeah." I told her everything. I told her about how Daryl and I were together, why we broke up, the other night when he found me outside, and when he kissed me.

"Do you think he meant it?" She asked.

"I don't know. Maybe. He seemed pretty upset after he told me and I didn't believe him."

"Do you love him?" She asked me, smiling like an idiot.

"Maybe." I said. I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face. But it quickly went away. There was no way he could love me. He told me he didn't. But why would he say he did?

"I'll leave you to your thoughts. Goodnight." She patted my knee and went to her own cell.

"Goodnight." I whispered after she left.

I layed in the bed. Memories of Daryl and I filled my head. I remember when we first met. One of my friends was dating Merle and he was having a party.
Flashback

"Come on!" She whined.

"No. I'd rather sit here alone than go to another one of his parties."

"Why? It'll be fun!"

"Remember last time?" At the last party, she left me to screw around with Merle. Somehow, this random guy got me drunk and took advantage of me.

"I wont leave you! I promise! Plus, his hot brother, Daryl, is going to be there. Please come with me?" By now she was on her knees.

"Fine."

When we got there, she introduced me to Daryl. She was right, he was hot. Of course she left me to screw around with Merle.

"Some party, huh?" I said taking a drink of my beer. People were drinking, smoking, making out. The floor was littered with cigarette butts, beer cans, and weird stains. Some song by this old band was blaring through the radio.

"Yeah." He seemed quiet. Awkward. Way different than his brother.

"Wanna do something?" He asked all of a sudden.

"Like what?" I asked narrowing my eyes.

"I dont know. Anything to get out of here."

"I don't know if I should. My friend..." I trailed off.

"You really think she needs you?" He chuckled.

"Excuse me?"

"Shit. I mean, her and Merle are gonna be together the whole night.  I've heard them before." He shuddered.

I laughed. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

We decided to go to a nearby lake. Long story short, we got drunk, swam in the lake, then fell asleep in each other's arms.

End

I fell asleep imagining I was in his arms once again.

-------------------------------------------------------

"Abbey! Abbey wake up!"

I opened my eyes and gasped. Daryl was above me, lightly shaking me.

"Wha- what happened?" I asked him.

"Nightmare. Was it about your father?"

While we were dating, I would spend the night with Daryl almost every night. He knew about my father, and the nightmares I had. He almost told the cops a few times, but I stopped him.

"Yeah." I whispered and looked down.

"You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah."

He turned to walk out but I stopped him. "Will- will you stay with me?" Part of me wished he would say yes but I knew better.

He turned around. "Sure." He said with no hesitation.

I shifted so he could fit in the bed. He layed down and put his arm around me. I put my head in the crook of his neck, like I used to.

"What you said earlier today. Did you mean it?" I asked him.

"Yeah."

"You still love me?" I asked surprised.

"I never stopped. I was vulnerable. You were the first person to make me feel like I mattered. When I saw you with Merle, I didn't have time to process it."

I smiled. A genuine smile. "I still love you too." I admitted. To him, and myself.

I could feel his smile. "Good."

I laughed a little. After a few minutes, I could hear him snoring. Before I knew it, I fell asleep. This time I didn't have to imagine being in his arms because he was really there with me.
