It had been about 4 months since the end of the intern competition, and the school year was blissfully uneventful.

The interns were happy to be able to stay together, MJ and Ned were thrilled to have more friends around, and Peter had a new family in addition to Aunt May, who had recently started dating Happy Hogan.

A few had started to date each other, since they'd spent so much time together.

Naira and Kenja were the first pair of interns to start dating, though they hadn't told the other interns for three weeks after they made it official.

Kentay and Amani had bonded while Kentay was explaining the rules of sports to Amani - since she enjoys watching them but never quite understood all the rules. They'd started going out a month after Naira and Kenja.

Lucas had gone on a few dates with MJ but they weren't dating yet.

Pio was happy enough staying single and just flirting with all the single girls at Midtown Science & Tech.

Peter still hadn't managed to decide if he wanted to date Lami or Clare.

Until Clare finally confronts him about it.

"I know you kissed Lami, and I know you're conflicted about which of us you want to be with, but you need to pick one of us. It's not fair to either of us that you're leading us both on." She says, "Figure it out by the end of the day."

Peter was surprised that Clare was the one who'd confronted him and not Lami, as Lami was much more outspoken, and Clare was often quiet.

Later that night, Peter was working in the lab. Lami was working with him on a robot prototype, as she'd gotten much better at it, but they were otherwise alone.

"This reminds me of when I first realized I liked you." Lami comments, leaning away from the robot.

"Really?" Peter asks her, turning his attention away from the robot to focus on her

"Yeah." She smiles, "We were working on a challenge and a slow song came on, and we danced."

Peter grins, standing up and walking to the room controls, which includes controls for the speaker system, and puts on another slow song. "Why not do it again?"

Lami smiles, walking over to him putting her arms around his neck. "Okay."

Peter puts his arms around her waist, and they dance together for the whole song, Lami resting her head on Peter's shoulder.

When the song ends, she lifts her head up to look at him. "This is nice." She whispers.

Peter smiles, then leans in and kisses her.

Lami kisses him back, smiling into the kiss. Her hand cups his cheek, then breaks away a few seconds later.

"I had another realization." Lami whispers, "I think I'm in love with you." Lami shakes her head, stepping away and letting go of him. "That's not fair, Clare likes you too. I should go." She says quickly.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Peter asks, and Lami freezes.

"Are you being serious?" She asks.

"Of course I am."

Lami throws herself into Peter's arms, hugging him, and one of her legs goes up, like in a cliche movie. "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend, of course I will." She squeals.

Peter smiles, hugging her too, enjoying the moment, until Lami steps away.

"Maybe I should tell Clare." She says softly, "She'll be upset, and the girls will be best at helping her feel better."

"That'd be best."

"I'll go get them." Lami says, heading for the elevator. "See you tomorrow."

Peter smiles, walking back to the robot to put it away. The elevator arrives, and Lami steps in, punching a button, and going to tell Clare the news.
