Mikasa's POV
I sit in my black throne deep inside of an underwater cave waiting for my message to bring me news. Maybe even something that I could take from Prince Eren.
Just sitting there, I think back to that one day.
We sit in our bedroom. Our tails in twined together. "I know I've said this every day for five years, but thank you and your family for adopting me." I say. He chuckles. "You don't have to keep saying that Mikasa!" He tells me.
I look at him. "I want to become the next ruler with you Eren." I say. We both look at our tails. His golden and mine rainbow. He looks up at me. "Mikasa. I can't marry you. You weren't born to be of royal blood. I just cant." He told me.
I stare at him and unwind our tails. "Well, go ahead. Follow the rules. I don't care." I tell him and swim out of the room,crying.
I packed everything I had and swam away. I swam until i met many other merpeople that didn't like the rules of their Prince. They took me in and made me their Princess.
I smile at the memory. Leaving him was the best thing that I could have ever done.
