Tsukishima had his brows furrowed as he scribbled notes on his textbook, hearing giggles and annoying laughs from Hikaru and Yamaguchi across each other on the coffee table. Clicking his tongue, the blonde turned his gaze away from the two and focused on English vocabulary words written neatly on his notebook.
"Yama-chan, you still don't get it? I'm offended." Hikaru joked a wide smile on her face as she pointed her pencil on the problem written on her notebook.
All the while Yamaguchi scratched the back of his head awkwardly with a huge grin plastered on his face, leaning on closer to Hikaru's notebook as if to see what she wrote clearly. "Gomen gomen Hikka" he apologized.
The blonde scoffed seeing the two lumped in so closely to each other. Clearly, Yamaguchi just wanted an excuse to be closer to Hikaru and somehow he felt pissed off by that fact. Though the feeling subsided, realizing that it's his friend and just probably wanted to really learn about it.
Hikaru excused herself from Yamaguchi and walked over to her master, keeping his distance from them. Curiously, she peeked at his notes, "..What are you doing Kei?" She whispered from behind, a bit near his ear.
The blonde quickly looked at Hikaru, holding his ear, a bright pink flush on his cheek. "S-Studying, stupid" he hissed, stammerig in the process. "What else would I do?" Kei rolled his eyes, trying to maintain his composure and continued writing.
Although, it sounds easier than it looks because Hikaru had her face a few inches beside his, looking at his work intently. Tsukishima couldn't focus at all, her milky scent and alluring smell of shampoo filling up his nose. His heart rampaged inside his chest, just seeing the girl from his peripheral vision.
"Kuso" the boy cursed under his breath, confused why he was suddenly feeling all weird whenever she's around. And the thought of their faces a few inches apart a while ago, still hadn't left his mind.
Hikaru calmed her nerves, trying to stay calm while near the boy. But then again, it's too hard not to feel anxious whenever you're near the person you like. Hearing his quiet cursing piqued Hikaru's attention, "Is there something you don't understand, goshujin?" Asked the ravenette leaning in closer to see if there's a difficult word. Forgetting to address him by his first name again.
Kei tried to hide his blushing cheek, and looked to the left as he replied, "Y-Yeah. But I can manage, busu" he mumbled, trying to get her away from him. Kei wanted to punch himself awake, just to stop this weird uncontrollable beating of his heart.
Hikaru chuckled, and boy the sound of her voice laughing triggered the butterflies inside Tsukishima'stomach, "I'm sure I can help you with that, Kei" the ravenette beamed.
The blonde parted his lips to retort when Yamaguchi cut him off by calling Hikaru's attention to him, "Hikka, I still don't get this!" He stated, a sorry look on his face.
The girl had her hand on her hips, sighing as she walked back to the coffee table and settled down beside the green haired boy again. "Even though you look smart, you're definitely not a fast learner Yama-chan" Kei watched the ravenette rolling her eyes as she wrote down solutions again.
"Tadashi" Yamaguchi spoke all of a sudden.
Hikaru turned sideways to face him, meeting his gaze that she somehow found uncomfortable. "What?" She managed to ask.
The boy grinned at her, "Call me Tadashi, Hikka. You call Tsukki by his first name too right?"
Hesitantly, Hikaru nodded andg gave him a small uneasy smile, "S-Sure, Tadashi" she mumbled under her breath.
The feeling of discomfort arose in Tsukishima and Hikaru when their friend grabbed the female's hand and intertwined their fingers.

It didn't end like that. The following day where Hikaru didn't bother inviting Yamaguchi again, they planned a study for just the both of them. And to their dismay, the freckled boy waited outside her house right after Tsukishima arrived. Doing all weird stuff to Hikaru, like complimenting everything about her or tucking pieces of her locks behind her ear.
And Tsukishima watched, clearly displeased with his friend's weird actions all of a sudden.
Thankfully, time passed by rather quickly and it was time for Yamaguchi to go. The blonse felt happy that he could finally be alone with his servant, but for some unexplained reason, Yamaguchi didn't let him do so. "Tsukki let's go home together" beamed the boy.
All Kei could do is agree. "I'll pick you up tomorrow busu, wait for me or else I'll kick you" he whispered into her ear before he got out of the house, avoiding to let Yamaguchi overhear their conversation.
The pair walked in silence, under the bright street lights illuminating the whole neighborhood, when Yamaguchi spoke.
"Ne Tsukki" the green haired boy called out to his friend, earning a hum from as he was busy picking songs on his mp3. Yamaguchi's palm started sweating in nervousness, but he clenched them and mustered up his courage to tell Tsukishima what he wanted to say. "Tsukki you don't like Hikaru-chan right?" He asked.
Kei's fingers pushing the next button came to a halt. The blonde glanced at his friend, looking at him with much determination and eagerness on his face. His lips parted, wanting to say no but he stopped. Kei felt hesitant, but he knew in himself that he certainly didn't like the girl. What reason is he being like this? "Of course no, why'd you ask Yamaguchi?" He threw a question, quietly slipping his hands inside his pockets.
Yamaguchi fidgeted with his fingers, a relieved smile creeping up on his face, "Well I, um, I-" he gulped the forming lump in his throat, "I'm planning to ask her out" Yamaguchi said, barely audible.
But Kei heard it alright. He stopped dead on his tracks and faced his friend, "Asking her out? You're eating out?" The blonde asked trying to confirm and understand what his friend just said.
"I'm asking her out, like go out as in dating me , Tsukki" replied Yamaguchi, cheeks turning bright red from the embarrassment. "Maybe I'll confess tomorrow"
Tsukishima on the other hand, stared at him quietly. He couldn't explain why his heart clenched at the thought of Yamaguchi proclaiming his feelings for Hikaru. For all he knows, he should be happy right now, not frustrated at the fact that both of his friends are getting together.
Pushing up his glasses, Kei faced front and walked, "Then goodluck with busu, Yamaguchi" he commented in quite a displeased tone.
Yamaguchi isn't naive or stupid, he knew all too well that something is wrong whenever his blonde friend took that tone of voice. Does he like Hikaru after all? The boy asked himself, staring at his friend's figure for a few seconds before sighing at catching up to him. "H-How s-should I confess, Tsukki?" Yamaguchi trying to lighten up the mood around them.
But he failed, miserably.
"I don't know, stop asking me and figure it out yourself. Tsk"
Kei stormed off, feeling extremely annoyed as he headed home. His mind filled with thoughts of Hikaru and if ever she ended up accepting Yamaguchi's confession. He should have known that all those times he looked eager to get close to Hikaru, all this time he had beem harboring feelings for Hikaru.
Reaching his house, Tsukishima slumped on his bed, his feet hanging off the bed. The blonde fished for his phone inside his bag and opened the girl's icon in his phone. Smiling immediately after seeing his new wallpaper of her sleeping as she held his hand last Saturday.
Soon enough, he fell into deep sleep listening to Hikaru's soothing voice playing from his baby, slash, headphones.
