After graduating from high school, everyone on Karasuno's team went on their separate ways. Hinata's trips overseas got sponsored by Kenma and Kageyama played as an official athlete in Japan's V-League.

As for Yachi and Yamaguchi, both of them ended up going to University along with Kei.

Hikaru on the other hand, pursued a music career after getting discovered by a famous agency in Japan. She was offered an intern job at the said agency and was later on promoted to be an official composer for the entertainment.

The glasses couple had small to no contact in the span of three years. Kei was busy with his studies and Hikaru was busy writing songs and learning more about music itself. Although nothing even changed between them.

The two never yearned for more than what the other could give or provide which was really a good thing. And Kei would rarely be asked out by beautiful girls in his department in college, and they would always end up rejected and even offended by the way he turned them down.

Yamaguchi would occasionally scold him. "Tsukki, you shouldn't go telling people in their faces that they're annoying and ugly!" he would reason out, bearing witness to how sharp Tsukki's tongue was.

And the blonde would answer mostly with a shrug or a smart retort like, "Telling the truth is never a bad thing to do." he would say and would eventually be followed by, "Besides, all of them are uglier than Hikaru"

His green haired friend would laugh awkwardly, unsure whether that was meant as a compliment or an insult to the girl. But he was happy nonetheless, because Kei's finally learned to call the girl by her name.

Hikaru's situation was pretty much the same as Kei. The ravenette started wearing contacts and her hair was a lot longer now, she would often tie it up in a ponytail or a bun, which gave the people around her a chance to see her face. Most of them would end up getting attracted to her features and silent persona.

But those who asked her out would always get a cold reply or a straightforward "no" whenever they tried. Her co-workers would usually reprimand her about her attitude, and she would simply answer, "Kei doesn't even bother me, why would I let those strangers interrupt my work?"

Her boss, Nanase Ayumi, would often ask, "Are you sure you have a boyfriend? You're usually unfriendly whenever the guys would ask you out."

And then again, Hikaru would nod heartily, "Yes and we're busy right now so we don't have much contact. Though it's not much of a problem. Knowing him, he's probably unfriendly with the girls in his college too" the ravenette would even smile as if what she said was a compliment when in reality, the others misunderstood it as her talking shit about the man she loves.

One thing that changed about Hikaru was that she was gradually able to speak clearer and louder now. All thanks to a certain blonde, pushing her to go and practice it.

5 years have passed since then.

Hikaru's work was based in Tokyo and Kei was in a college far from it. The two would meet once or twice a year to celebrate Christmas and their anniversaries.

The pair stood in front of one another, in an empty hallway after Hikaru finished one of her recordings for her solo debut next month. Kei's blonde hair grew a lot longer and even had his bangs hovering down his forehead. Hikaru's black straight hair reached down to her waist; her long fringes still clipped to the side.

"Stop being so quiet, it's weird" Kei was the one who broke the ice.

Hikaru couldn't help but chuckle, "It's been a while Kei."

Silence ruled as the pair stared into each other's eyes. "You better come closer before I drag you here, busu" the blonde's sharp tongue had Hikaru laughing.

Before long, the two embraced each other tightly, faces buried into the crook of their necks. "Kei—"

The blonde placed a hand over her mouth as she began speaking, "I go first, wait for your turn."

"I waited a lot of years for this, busu. Yes, is the only answer I'm accepting."

Hikaru's eyes widened seeing her boyfriend for almost 6 years kneel down in front of her, a blue box in hand, and inside it was a shiny silver ring that had one end curled around the other and had a single shiny gem inside.

"So will you finally marry me, ugly girl?"

"Is that an order I'm hearing from you again, my dear master?"

Kei slowly slipped the ring on her finger and stood up, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer.

"So, what's your answer?"

"You already put the ring on me so isn't it obvious, Kei?"

"I love you, busu."

"Me too, goshujin."
