June 18, 2020:
I'm going to start giving these titles, it makes it seem less like a quarantine thing and more like a normal book. Except it's not a book. But I can pretend it is.
I just pasted the other two journal entries back into this one. The OG. Then I self destructed the second journal. While pasting it in, I found that dark mode is broken—it pasted text as black text instead of white, which means with dark mode on you can't see anything in the slightest. It is fine, because after posting it the text reformatted itself, but it's still something interesting.
Flowers for Algernon was a good book. A lot of the themes in it correspond to what is currently going on in the world. I would reccommend the book. Apparently I've read 20 books in the past month, so that's fun to know.
Do you guys have any tips for commuting to a project? I've tried to set due dates, give myself rewards and reminders, but I can't seem to commit to a project that I'm not inspired on (mostly referring to my music, but also the horrible book I've given up on). If you have any tips, let me know.
I've focused my energy on a few things this summer:
1. Music
2. Getting ahead in math
3. English 12 online
4. Working out more
5. (This is a new one) browsing Reddit
6. Getting a new computerI started using Reddit, and now I know why people think it's so addictive. There's a lot of intersting stuff there. Same with YouTube. Both those only end up consuming an hour of my day though, and I've made sure to not let that expand and destroy my life.
Oddly, I actually enjoy math, and somewhat enjoy English (except for the fact that my attention span while reading old American texts is about thirty seconds). Enjoying math is something that I don't think many people share, but now, I've seen the large math community, my opinion has completely changed. I never see people share their love for math, but at the same time I see everyone sharing their love for math. I just got into complex graphing and precalc, and I am now even more interested in what there is to do.
Anyway, that's it for right now. Hope you all are doing well! What books do you guys recommend / are reading now?
