DANGANRONPA 3 IF

Prologue

"A fateful gust of wind blew past. In that moment, the pair who would plunge the academy, and later the whole damn world, into the depths of Despair, first laid eyes on the powder keg they'd soon ignite."

"That's impressive," I said. "You've really taken into narration, haven't you?"

"Well I had," answered my sister. "But now, done!"

The two of us were standing in front of one of the largest building of the entire campus. There was an ensign on top where we could read "Hope's Peak High School".

She looked up and said " Drink it in, Mukuro! This is where our lives are truly gonna kick into gear!" She laughed maliciously while drawing some kind of creepy bear on a notepad. "Man I can't wait! Maybe Fate will even drop someone into my lap!"

We walked toward the doors of what should become our playground for the next years. I couldn't help but notice a student in front of us holding an envelope. He was kind of short and had a spiky haircut. As me and my little sister went past him, he dropped his envelope and stepped on it, ruining the paper. 

" Aw crap," he said. He crouched to pick it up and by doing so, he dodged a soccer ball that flew right where he was a second ago, and all even without realizing it. He mumbled to himself, " Man, what a drag. How am I even supposed to be the Ultimate lucky student?"

I giggled quietly. My sister looked at me and said, " What are you laughing at? Thinkin' about your own death or something?" She suddenly seemed very bored and annoyed at the same time. " Why do you have to be a pain in the ass all the fuckin' time?"

I blushed. Am I really that bad, sis? Does just listening to me fill you with despair? " Sorry, Junko. It's nothing."

" And get rid of that horrible smile of yours," said Junko while looking away. " Someone might want to choke you to death just by looking at it."

You are saying this to help me, right, Junko? You are saying it like this so I can feel despair too? You're the best sister in the world!

After all, I'm the only one who truly understand you, right?
