Damon has never really felt the need for a relationship, not because he didn't have time or didn't want one, no because he was scared he'd get judged for who he'd have a relationship with.
He'd rather be alone then feel the judgement. Over the years of course liv had tried setting him up with a few girls, but that was the problem he couldn't tell her because he hadn't realized it yet. He didn't like girls....
This was one of the only things he kept from his twin. The only one who actually knew was Nora Allen, his twins best friend. For she had been the one who had figured it out. She had also been the one to convince him to tell his family.
The only reason he had kept this from his twin was because he was crushing on her boyfriend. He realized the feelings he had for him weren't brotherly or friendly they were something more, something different and he didn't know how to deal with it.
Taking a deep breath he decided to come out to his twin before going to his parents. Sighing he knocks on her door, hearing a faint "come in" he opens up the door and walks in.
Sighing he looks at Liv "can we talk? I need to tell you something" Liv looks at him concern all over her face "what's up? Is everything alright?"
He sits on her bed and gestures the seat next to him. "Liv, what I'm about to tell you is something I've just recently discovered and have been trying to come to terms with it myself... what I'm trying to say is that....I don't like girls, I'm-I'm gay" he sighs looking at his twin for any sign of disgust.
"Oh..my...god" she sighs "I thought you'd never figure it" smiling and sighing in relief he hugs his sister. Pulling away he looked at her "so you always knew?" He asks her, Liv shrugs "not always, I kinda figured after the denial of the girls and it was more of a twin tuition, I was waiting for you to accept it before I said anything" she looks at him. "Why did you find it so hard to tell me?" Damon looked down "I just thought..." she cut in "that I'd see you differently?" He nods "look Damon, you're my brother, you're my twin, I love you, nothing can change that and there's nothing wrong with being gay or bi or whatever, if it makes you happy go for it, I'll stand by you always" at this point tears were in both of their eyes as they hug again.
"I need to tell mom and dad" he sighs standing up. "Do you want me to come with you?" Shaking his head no. "I need to do this myself" walking out the door "I'm always here for you dames" sending her one last smile he goes to find his parents.
"Mom, dad I need to tell you something" he says sitting on the coffee tables in front of the couch they were occupying. "What is it?" Aria asks her son. "Don't...uh, I'm-I'm....gay" he says closing his eyes. Aria sighs a small smile on her face "honey we know" she says looking at Damian who also had a smile resting on his face.
Damon's head snaps up "you do?" Nodding with a laugh Aria speaks up "we're your parents, of course we knew, we were just waiting for you to come to us" nodding to their answer relief flooding through him "but how did you?" "Parents know these things" Damian adds.
"It doesn't change anything, your our son and you always will be" they stand up pulling their son into a hug. Squealing Liv run in "family hug" wrapping her arms around them.
"Was it really that obvious?"
