Perhaps the loud booming was LeafWings with some kind of explosive weapons, or the marching of HiveWing soldiers. Heck, it also could have been more trees being knocked down. Whatever it was, it certainly made the dragons of Wasp Hive tensive and anxious. After every single boom, Region's antennas itched painfully in irritation. Of course, he knew he wasn't the only one. He could feel the ripple of the booming as it vibrates into his skull. This war is going to kill us, not the LeafWings! Region at some point though when the pain reached its peak.

Now all of that happened yesterday. Most of the dragons had fainted, or fallen asleep. It would have been funny if he didn't have a giant headache.

"Hurry up, moon face! You act as if you had honey sticking your feet to the ground!" Firesky growled as Region technically crawled behind them in exhaustion. He hadn't slept that night, not that he could with all this patrolling to do. And perhaps that was why Firesky was all snarky. Whatever justified Firesky's grumpy behavior, Region snorted and refused to listen to the SilkWing's complains. "You are taking forever though," Lavender justified, exactly the opposite of what Region wanted to hear.

Perhaps I am the grumpy one here, Region thought, now that he was considering it. He frowned, Well Sky, I'm not going to admit it.

Unfortunately, the swarm of HiveWings came back, looking not one bit affected by war. Region quicken his speed, knowing it meant Queen Wasp would be somewhere nearby. Lavender looked around, his antennas twitching in curiosity.

There was a loud chanting echoing through the Hive. Firesky winced. Region knew exactly what it was. The protestors had taken this moment to assemble, their anger fueled by more LeafWing deaths. "Let's go before we're forced to bite someone's tail," Region muttered. Lavender nodded. Region licked the tip of his snout, "I could really go for some honey right-"

Firesky looked at Region in disbelief. "How could you be thinking of honey in the middle of war?" He questioned, slashing his tail, "Our own literal tribe is in danger. This violence, it isn't the answer."

Lavender and Region blinked. "There's nothing we can do about it Firesky, the HiveWings rule us!" Lavender pointed out. Region shifted his talons uncomfortably. These type of arguments made him nostalgic, reminding him of all freedom he had access to. His favorite memory was guarding Ex- Queen Monarch, with his friend Lime, who now rests in peace.

"What are you three chatting about?" A booming voice asked. Region felt cold talons slide down his spine. All three SilkWings twisted their head, noticing the HiveWing's yellow and black stripes, and the twisted black obsidian crown that stood tall on the HiveWing's head.

W- Wa- Wa- Wasp! Region's mind progressed, before he found himself petrified in fear. He remembered the exact look on her face, before the HiveWing behind her-

"Y- Your Majesty, my friend here is worried that the LeafWings could destroy the hive," Lavender lied, dipping his head, "But I told him that he should not worry because the hive is sturdy and we have a big army of SilkWings and HiveWings." A part of Region hoped that the queen of the HiveWings believe Lavender and would leave. Region avoided her dark gaze, looking into her eyes was like falling into an abyss with no return.

Wasp only let a grin that showed nothing but pure maliciousness. "You are right, purple SilkWing," Queen Wasp said in a tone of authority, "I do not see why there would be any concern that we wouldn't win this war." She glared at Region and Firesky, as if she was trying to figure out who was the one that doubted her. Region realized he might faint any moment. The HiveWing body guards stirred behind her. He was get sick.

Firesky clearer his throat. "We'll be on our way to check for any damage done, excuse us, Your Majesty," He said, before pulling Region's petrified wings and steered the SilkWing away from Wasp. Region watched as the Queen gave them a skeptical look.

Surprisingly, Firesky took them to Region's cell. "Go have some sleep, still don't understand why you are so terrified of Wasp, but yes. She is absolutely terrifying," He shushed himself as HiveWings flew by.

Region inhaled. "Fine I'll explain, come inside," He told them, entering his cell. Firesky and Lavender looked looked around cautiously, before hoping inside Region's cell.

Region gathered himself to the other side of the silk webs, watching the savanna view as it reached endlessly to the horizon. Firesky invaded Region's hammock, and Lavender sat under him. Region gulped, before lowering his wings so that they could see the scar that went across his back.

Region looked at his fellow SilkWings with a deep breath. "It all started when Wasp ordered to attack the LeafWings..."
