Hinata's POV
I can feel the stings in my fingers as I play the violin I look behind me and I see her playing the piano as we both stand before the large audience.
Both us can be considered music prodigies considering we started playing at the age of 7 I have always loved the beautiful melody we created I would cherish it whenever I heard it as if there was no tomorrow.
7 years later
I can still remember the day she told me she would not live that long but I promised I would never quit playing music as we both decide to perform at our last concert together.
I decided I would give the last chapter of our story a nice ending after all it was our last duet together
I don't remember how it went but I poured my heart and soul on to my violin as if I was trying to give her goodbye as we bowed to the audience and exited the stage.
The funeral went by really fast for me I remember not crying because what use would it be and besides she will always be with me when I perform after all she promised me I would never be alone
As much as I tried to play y violin I could no longer hear the notes I wanted to create it was as if we were both longings for her melody as I put my violin down in its case even though I promised her I would never quit I didn't have the heart to play
As I closed the case and put it away locking away my love and passion along with my memories with her and music.
2 years later
As I walked over to the gym we were going to have a practice match with Nekoma I was talking with Kageyama as we went over to meet with Kuroo and Kenma I was especially excited to see Kenma.
"had a nice trip I supposed," said Kuroo
"yeah it was" answered Daichi with a sweet smile
Talk about scary I thought I looked around the school "Nekoma huh? besides being a powerhouse for many sports it was also a good school to go to for learning or practicing any instrument " I accidentally said out loud
"oh you know abut our famous music department then ?" someone said I really wasn't paying attention
"Anyone who plays music knows it's a good option to go to high school I also thought about attending Nekoma too but none the less I ended up in Karasuno" I answered then I realized I said that out loud I looked up and saw everyone looking at me as if a grew an extra hand
"umm, guys?" I said
"You play music?" they asked
I hadn't heard that in a while but no I don't play that's what I wanted to say but it was like I was contradicting my own beliefs and it was like I was betraying her
" I used to a long time ago but not anymore I lost the ability to hear, after all, " I said to them in a sad tone
"well we came here to play volleyball not talk about me," I said quickly trying to change the subject as I put on a forced smile.
No one's POV in general
" I used to a long time ago but not anymore I lost the ability to hear, after all, " Hinata said in a sad tone
As we saw Hinata sating to change the subject I decided to go with it and we all headed to the gym for our match though Daichi
"what do you think he meant by I lost the ability to hear ?" said Noya
"no clue but there must be quite the story behind that sad smile he had earlier," said Suga I know for a fact that we all wanted to know but we didn't really want to ask him
The match ended up Karasuno's victory as we were by the bus saying our goodbyes to Nekoma's team when something unexpected happened
"you're Hinata shoyo the one who would duet with Violet aren't you? " said an unknown voice as we looked at the newcomer and then we saw Hinata with a surprised face quickly replaced with a neutral expression
As Hinata faced him and said, "umm yeah I am why do you know me?"
" Everyone who plays music knows you and violet," he said and then with a smile he said
"did you really forget about me ?" he said
As he turned around and faced Hinata and said with a smile
"Apollo"
