"Mommy I'm starving"

I stopped on my tracks as I heard her. Napangiti ako ng mapait. Pati ako ay gutom na gutom na din pero patuloy lang ako sa paglalakad.

I held my tummy. Hindi pa ito gaanong halata pero alam kong nanjan siya. Nandiyan ang anal kong gutom na din.

"Shh...", I caressed my baby bump. "See there baby, there's a village up close. Don't worry baby"

Nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad hanggang sa nakarating na ako sa boarder ng village.

I banged my hand slightly on the fence. Mahina lang ito pero nakaka-agaw atensiyon.

The next thing I did was to shout for help.

"Please! I'm starving and my baby needs her nutrients! Please! Help us!"

There I stopped when a group of young men pass by.

"Hey there", one of them asked.

"Yes! Thankyou! Can you lend me some food and water? My baby is starving", I pleaded.

But they only laughed.

"Dude, wait here", I heard another one saying before rushing off.

"Wait! Please! I need food and water! For my baby!"

Kumalam naman ang sikmura ko kaya agad akong napaatras.

"Mommy I'm scared"

I caressed my belly.

"Don't worry baby, these people are nice. They're going to help us"

"But Mommy..."

I felt my heart beating faster than usual. Pati ako ay kinakabahan din pero hindi ko ito inalinta dahil gutom na gutom na talaga kami ng anak ko.

"I trust them baby"

As if on cue, the boy came back with a pineapple.

Kumalam ulit ang sikmura ko.

"Here..."

Kinuha ko ang binigay nila kahit na kinakabahan padin ako. Sa gilid ng aking nga mata ay nakikita ko silang tumatawa pero hindi ko na ito inalinta at linantakan ang pinya.

"Don't worry baby, Mommy's going to feed you now"

I turned towards the boys who were still hiding their laughter.

"Thankyou! Thankyou so much!"

I once again said before taking a bite.

Those people are really nice.

They don't know me and yet they gave me food.

They are really good people.

And then something happened.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!"

"MOMMYYYYY!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I felt my body drop to the floor.

"M-My B-Baby...", I tried to whisper but nothing came out.

There I started to cough up blood.

B-Blood?

"M-Mommy..."

My vision became blurry. Pero kitang-kita ko ang dugo mula sa aking mga kamay.

Then laughter filled the air.

Lumihis ang tingin ko patungo sa pinyang binigay nila.

Sabog na sabog na ito.

"T-They..."

Napaiyak nalang ako habang naghihingalong nakatingin sa mga nagtatawanang kabataan.

"W-Wh...y?"

I trusted them. I thought they were good. How can they do this?

They...

These people...

I didn't do anything wrong...

"S-Someone..."

Inikot ko ang paningin at nagpalahaw sa huling pagkakataon.

"H-Help m-my ba-b...y..."

A tear escaped my eye as I found myself drowning in pain and darkness.

ANIMALS HAVE FEELINGS TOO!

If you remember, a photo of an elephant had gone viral on social media. The mother elephant in Kerala wondered off into a village seeking for food but instead they gave her a pineapple full of fire crackers. It exploded in her mouth and dies standing in the River.

SHE WAS PREGNANT! THOSE PEOPLE NEED TO PAY!  SHE DID NOTHING WRONG! SHE WAS INNOCENT!
