I pulled into Reyna's driveway on Monroe Ave and quickly made my way to the front of her house. Today was my day off and, so I figured who better to spend the day with other than my daughter and her godmother. With that in mind I shuffled the loads of bags I had in my hand and retrieved the spare key Reyna kept hidden under her flower pot.

"Reyna,"I sang, closing the door behind me and walking towards the kitchen.

"Omgosh, hey doll,"Reyna jumped from the kitchen counter. "Hey you,"I smiled and plopped myself on the island stool.

"What brings you around,"She asks, fishing out breakfast ingredients from the fridge.

"Nothing, it's my day off and I thought I'd come by and hang out with you and Leeana,"

"I know that's right,"she smiled, "That child has been asking for her mama for weeks," I chuckled at her theatrics, although I facetimed and called my daughter every night before she goes to bed and whenever I can, Leeana always insisted on seeing mommy. So, I make it my mission to see her on the weekends until I find a place for us to settle.

"I know right, she is so silly," I chime in, "I've also brought her some clothes...take a look,"I said, bringing up the shopping bags I settle near my feet.

"Ouuu that's one is cute," Reyna pointed at the Pink Gucci sweatsuit I held up.

"Yes, I love that one! And look at the pair of slides I got with it." I dove into the bag one more time.

"Those are beautiful," She smiled and held one of the slides in her hand, "I wonder if they got these in my size."

"Right, that's what I said !" We spoke about the latest fashion style that was trending as of this year and how work had been kicking both of our tails. "Where's Leeana ?"I asked, while grabbing a mug in the dishwasher for coffee.

"Oh, she is not up yet." She pulled her robe closer to her and also took a seat at the island. "We were up, watching Moana and my ass fell asleep and woke up and it was almost 2 am and Leeana was still up."

"Ohhh, I know what that means,"I pour the coffee creamer into my cup and stir, "She is not gonna wake up until noon."

"Right, but that's ok, in the meantime, we got some catching up to do ." I smiled, taking a seat on the island as well.

"You want some coffee." She nodded yes and I walked off into the direction of the coffee maker. "So, wassup, what been going on?" I asked.

"A lot."She smirked, as I handed her a cup of coffee.

"Oh really like what?" I raised a brow.

"Umm, first you know how I introduced Trey to y'all at the club a couple of weeks ago." My heart raced and a lump was beginning to form in my throat, but I kept it cool. "Yea...

"Well, we kinda of being messing around back and forth,"

"Ohhh ok girl," I said cheerily as if my stomach was already doing backflips. "How did you two even meet ?"

"A friend of mine introduced us at a listening party in LA last year...you remember Camille right."She explains, taking a sip of her coffee. Camille was a colleague of Reyna whose house I designed for earlier in my career, so I nodded my head. "Yea, she introduced us and we've been on and off ever since,"

"Hmm, interesting." I offered a forceful smile. "What?" She furrowed her brow. "Nothing." I shook my head while taking a sip out of my mug. "You got that sarcastic tone in your voice, so spill." "Nothing,... it's just," I said, placing my mug on the counter, " He's a whole celebrity."
