I looked at Taeyeon who is walking away from me and Yuta.

"she was concerned" I heard Yuta's deep voice, I looked at him asking for an explanation

"she was worried, I'm correcting myself"

"of you"

I stayed silent before telling him, "please tell her that everything is gonna be okay, he won't harm me, I'm so sorry for this" while gathering all our stuffs and putting them into the bucket we brought from home.

We came back to the villa, "check on Jaehwa, I will check on Taeyeon" I looked at Yuta and nodded slightly. I knocked on the shared room, hoping he's really here and not somewhere else. 

If he's not here I would be very panicked not gonna lie. No answer. I knocked once again. No answer. 

I tried to open the window, to see Jaehwa sitting on the corner of his bed. Shirtless, with towel covering his body. I approached

"Jahewa-ya" I sat beside him, taking his hand.

"Look, Taeyeon is okay, she was just shocked, give her some time. The timing is so bad, I'm sorry" He pulled me into a hug, 

"I'm okay, It's okay. Don't be sorry." 

I didn't hug him back, I saw the burn on his back, it was way worse than I expected.

"does it...hurt?"

I asked in a soft voice

"a little, I have been worse" I can feel his arms tighten up around me

"it's almost dark, go take a shower and we will eat dinner after" he let go and smiled, I nodded and went to my room. 

I saw Yuta and Taeyeon both on Taeyeon's bed, Yuta seems to be comforting her, "Taeyeon-ah.." I called out her name in a subtle voice, barely hearable, but she turned her head towards me.

"I'm sorry.."

approaching her, I'm actually very nervous.

the first sentence that came out of her mouth was

"is he okay?"

I felt relieved, that she still cares about everything after all these, I feel so bad for not telling them earlier about this when they are my best friends for years now, and I didn't tell them about the biggest thing that happened in my life. I didn't expect them to find out like this.

I nodded responding to Taeyeon's question earlier. Yuta stood up and walked towards to the door tapping my right shoulder, "see you at dinner" and smiled.

I approached Taeyeon, sitting beside her. "Look I-"

"Don't apologize, maybe Yuta and I were meant to find out this way, it's not your fault" I stared at her, staying quiet, I mean if I were her I would be so shocked and maybeI will actually ignore myself forever.

"Look, I think I have to tell you this right now, I just told Yuta just now. This is really the biggest secret my mom has every told me. she told me that I am not my dad's daughter. my real dad is not alive anymore and he was a.."

"wait what?" I looked at her in disbelief. "w-what do you mean..?"

"My dad is not my dad, Hwayeong. My real dad died many years ago, he was killed."

My eyes widened.

"and he was not a human, Hwayeong" I can notice her avoiding eye contact. 

"He was a vampire.."

I was shocked as hell

"s-so that is why you're very shocked..and your instincts are so strong..and you-you're good at everything..it was all from your dad.."

 I started to gather all the puzzles and all the questions that has been wandering in my head.

"look, I'm also sorry for now telling you this earlier.." she looked at me. I was still shocked and processing about what is happening on that day, I nodded slightly, "that's okay.."

~ dinner ~

"what do you wanna eat?" I asked Jaehwa who was sitting beside me, he looked at the menu, "let me see what I can have, I will tell you later. What about you?" he asked Yuta who was sitting across the table in front of him.

"I think I will have this Hanchi Mulhwae (raw cuttlefish water, a famous food in Jeju) , oh yea and we should buy 2 portions of seafood hotpot, so that we can share" Yuta told the servant all he wants and so do the others.

After we all ordered our food, Jaehwa was left, he ordered an abalone soup which is the most safe food here for him, he has ever told me that seafood is kind of risky.

"alright, since we're all here, let's play a game?" 

I opened the conversation on the table, Taeyeon lifted her head up. "wait, can I have a second to tell you something first?" 

I knew where this is going, she's gonna tell Jaehwa about his father this way, I think Yuta also understands.

"Look, so.."

I feel the tense, I hope this isn't too hard for her

"I know"

Jaehwa stared at Taeyeon deeply, I turned my head towards him, what does he mean he knows?

"no need to mention it if you don't want to"

"I know where this is going, I know about your dad, and it's okay that you didn't tell me, Yuta and Hwayeong about this earlier. It's hard to tell people about vampires, it's a sensitive topic, and it's okay. Don't be awkward and just be yourself,I don't mind, tell me properly when you are ready."

Taeyeon stared at him and smiled in relief.

"you know sometimes I a grateful that you're a mind reader" I talked to myself in a small voice and smiled to myself.
