Chapter 9: drunk mistake

          "That's all for today. I want you all to submit the project on the house plan for a medium family of six. Submit it to Miss. Tosin next two weeks" Mr. Adewale says as he leaves the class.

        I know it looks like I am avoiding yesterday. Not exactly. I really loved yesterday. Like fuck he was perfect. But yesterday wasn't supposed to happen. I can't let him into my messed up life because it could ruin him. I care that much for him.

        I light the end of my cigarette and start smoking. I need to keep reminding myself that I am not made for love. I walk into the canteen to see the girls and of course the guy's sitting together. Great.

        "Anytime you see Princess smoking in the morning know that some thing is wrong" Shade says. "Good morning to you too" I bite back. Everyone cheerfully says good morning while I sit there grumbling and glaring. I am not just a morning person.

       "So yesterday was good. It was really a bonding night" Chioma says. "More like sex night" I mumble. "Excuse me?" Shade whispers. "Next time you are really drunk and in need of someone banging your calabash remember not to do it in my car. Because my car was a mess this morning, it reeked of sex and one of the condoms in my car was missing" I whisper back.

     I don't really need condoms. I am on birth control pills but I just keep them there for no reason. "And also when you are using my foundation to cover your hickey Chioma, use it well. Your secrets are safe with me.

      I woke up this morning to see my car in a mess. Like as if a strong wind was blowing last night. I know that Chuks and Chioma didn't do anything but they made out sha.

       "Anyway I was thinking we just go to ShopRite and have fun" Chioma says blushing like mad. Everyone agrees except me of course. "Sorry I am not interested" I say sweetly. Chioma tries to play that psychiatrist line again but I pick my phone, put it on loud speaker and call the woman. Call me crazy but I don't care.

       "Mrs. Ajayi good morning ma. I want to book an......." I don't even finish before Chioma and Shade cuts the call. "So you guys still love me. That's good to know". "Can you please just come" they all give me this puppy dog eyes except Dave who has been awfully quiet. I am about to say no when we hear sound of gun shots.

         "The nerve of that bastard" I swear. I know it's Timi and he's useless gang. "Take every one inside. I'll deal with this"

           I bring out my black revolver from my purse. The girls have their own guns out and are dragging everyone in. And no, the girls are not part of the gang. It just happens that Shola is my paddie and he's in the gang so because of the two of us,the girls are always in trouble.

        I duck under the table and shoot a guy. His colleague is trying to pull a trigger but doesn't know it's on safety. Wait is Timi trying to insult me with this pathetic bunch of idiots. After killing the five stupid guys that just ruined my lunch. I hit their leader from behind.

       "Who send you?" I ask. "N...a scor..pion. Abeg I get pikin. I get family. No kill me" I said it. It's Timi he's calling scorpion. "Wetin he send you" "He say make I tell you say that e no be gang war but na personal thing between you and am. No kill me. I get family. I dey do this job to feed them"

     I chuckle darkly and bend down to his lever. "I wan send you two things you go help me do. First you go help me wait for Scorpion for hell fire. Second go ask all the people wey I don send to hell and dey go tell you say I be Slay Queen. Nobody messes with me. And you know that. You and your family fit rot in hell but e no concern me." I say as I pull the trigger and put an end to his miserable life.

    I pick me phone and call Shola. "My personal person" Shola says. "Abeg come clean this message inside school o. I wan use the guy head send Timi message so no throway the body" "ok o" the guy says and cuts the phone.

      I turn around to see Dave standing there shocked to the core. He just saw the bad me. "This" I say pointing at the dead guy "is who I am. Yesterday was a drunk mistake. This is me the heartless, cruel bitch and falling in love is not in my dictionary. Sorry if I brought your hopes up" I say and walk out.
