I slowly opened my eyes, I feel so dizzy and my eyes feel so swollen. I tried to sit up until I saw a peach-haired boy smiled at me. I saw a black-haired boy beside him.

" W-where am I? Who are you guys? " I asked them, looking around. It's already dark, the last thing I remember was sunrise and a tengu-masked man approaching towards me.

The peach-haired boy was about to answer me when the door slid open. I then saw the tengu-masked guy from earlier.

" You're finally awake, I'm Sakonji Urokodaki. " he said, I nodded and looked at the two boys.

" I'm Sabito, and this is Giyuu. " the peach-haired boy said while smiling and placed his arm around the black-haired boy.

" I'm (y/n)... " I said.

" Nice to meet you. " Giyuu said with a smile. My eyes widen, he finally said something. I smiled back at them.

" Where are my sib—... " I asked yet stopped when I realized it immediately. Sabito and Giyuu looked at Urokodaki-san.

" I already buried them. " Urokodaki-san said. My eyes started to shed some tears and clenched my fist. Sabito and Giyuu hugged me.

" Their families were killed as well. " Urokodaki-san said. My eyes widen when I heard that. I both hugged them back.

" I'm sorry... " I told them, yet Sabito smiled.

" We'll be demon slayers to protect those who can't protect themselves! " He said cheerfully.

" Yeah! " Giyuu exclaimed.

" I'll be training you, together with them. " Urokodaki-san told me. " Starting tomorrow. " He continued.

" Alright. " I said with determination.

" Take a good rest for tonight. You'll be all having a tough day tomorrow. " Urokodaki-san said.

" Okay, Urokodaki-san. " The three of us said in unison.

~ Time skip, 3:00 AM ~

" Wake up, (y/n). We need to start warming up before the sun rises. " Giyuu told me. I slowly lifted my head up feeling drowsy. I saw Sabito doing push-ups outside.

" Thanks for waking me up, Giyuu. " I told him and tied my hair up in a bun. He's just staring at me.

" Let's go. " He then said. I nodded and followed him.

" To join the Demon Slayer Corps, we need to survive for seven days at the Final Selection held on Mt. Fujikasane. " Giyuu told me.

" Final Selection? " I asked him and he nodded.

" But before that, we need to pass Urokodaki-san's final task for us to participate at the Final Selection. " Giyuu said and we finally reached outside, it's still dark and I already saw Urokodaki-san watching over us.

" How old are you, (y/n)? " Sabito asked me.

" 13. " I answered.

" Awesome! We're all the same age as Giyuu! " He said enthusiastically. " We'll be taking the Final Selection, and survive it together! " He said, I smiled at him.

" Yeah! " Giyuu and I cheerfully said.

We then did breathing exercises to expand our lungs, and take as much oxygen as possible. If we have enough oxygen, the blood will be able to provide enough oxygen for our entire body, especially at the extremities. Which can enhance our movements while maintaining equilibrium.
