I can feel Spencer being annoyed with me every time I spoke. But it's one of those things where I feel like I have to say something to make up for the stupid thing I said instead of keeping my mouth shut.
" Compared to everyone here at Yale, who do you think is the Cheech And Chong duo? You think it's those twins?
" Lorelai.." he sighed, turning a page of his book.
" No, no, your right... it's totally them" I whispered.
Spencer furiously stood up, " Lorelai, please! You can clearly see I'm studying here and you're becoming the distraction I knew you would become! I knew it was a mistake taking you here! Leave immediately!"
I slowly stood up facing towards him, " this whole thing with us was the biggest mistake. Don't ever speak to me again, Reid!"
I rushed out of the room, taking my scarf and coat with me for a walk. My hands were freezing under my mittens and the only warmth I wanted was to my earphones. Unfortunately, I lost my earphones a few days ago.
I planned to buy new ones but it's sold out for Christmas and the snow makes it harder to reach the stores.
As I walked into several candy shops, I walked into my favorite one with melting chocolate dripping onto strawberries. I sat alone meanwhile many couples and friends were sitting on the tables laughing and smiling.
I ate my strawberries one by one until I saw Spencer sitting across from me.
I rolled me eyes, " what is it?"
He cleared this throat and took out a Christmas wrapped present with a big bow on the top. I starred at him confused, " what is this?" He shrugged, " It's a gift to show how sorry I am for making you upset. Open it, I'm sure you'll like it. It's part of your Christmas present."
" But I thought you hated Christmas?"
" But I could never hate you...I know this makes you happy."
I smiled as I took the gift in my hands. Unwrapping it when I glanced at the headphones and a cd playlist he made for us, filled with Taylor Swift love songs.
