APPARENTLY IT was Elena's birthday, and if there was one thing Nora enjoyed it was birthdays. She bought Elena a new dress considering she barely knew the girl. She walked into Stefans room to find Damon giving Elena her present already. "Nora." Elena smiled at her new friend as the Vampire held a colorful bag that contained her present. "Elena, Happy Birthday!" Nora brought Elena in for a hug. Elena didn't expect it, though she melted into it. Nora had a friendly presence and to Elena that's exactly what she needed at the moment."I'm going to give you two a moment." Elena looked at Damon as he stared at Nora. "That is not nece-" Elena cut the vampire off with the sound of the door shutting. "That bitch." Nora scoffed jokingly, before sitting down on the desk in Stefans room. "So are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Nora sassed wanting to get rid of the heart ache she was going to experience. "I'm sorry, you sound as if I owe you an explanation. Need I remind you that I came back home finding all of your stuff gone. Like you didn't exist. Like we didn't exist." Damon was mad.
He had held in all of his emotions about Eleanora Scott for the past 21 years. He was trying to hold himself back from yelling so loud by gritting his teeth. "You're joking right?" Nora stood up furrowing her brows as hurt flashed her eyes. "You had a teenager come to tell me you where leaving, Damon! Do you understand how long I stayed in that apartment, day and night waiting for you to come home? Oh wait, you don't! You know why? Cause you never tried to get in touch with me Damon. I had no clue as to where you where, or who you where with exactly! Do you know how crazy I was going with out you?" Nora was letting it all out. With out even realizing she started jabbing her finger in Damons chest with all her might.
Damon stayed silent. He had never seen Nora like this. Turns out the happy girl does cry. "I have to go." Nora made her way to the door wiping away any sad evidence that she was upset. The highlight of her day was seeing people dancing and having fun. Well that was a lie. Seeing Damon again was the highlight of her day.
Once again she blended into the crowd of sweaty bodies. Dancing to the beat of the music she felt male hands grab her waist, moving with her body. She turned around, wrapping her hands around his neck. He was immediately pulled away by none other than Damon Salvatore. "Beat it." The boy didn't hesitate to find a new dancing partner as he eyes Damon. "Buzz kill." Nora mumbled before walking off to find someone other than himself.
Damon grabbed her hand, pulling her to his chest. "For old times sake." Damon pouted as the two stood close to each other. Nora couldn't resist the smile that kept onto her cheeks. Damons hands glided up and down Nora's arms as her back was to his chest. They moved in sync as if they choreographed every move. Damons head was in the crook of Nora's neck as her hands where in his hair.
Nora listened to the music as she heard the familiar lyrics leave Damons mouth, "Play that funky music, white boy!" Nora pulled away from him with a wide grin, knowing he was behind the scheme. "You didn't." He was bent over, nodding his head.
"But I did, baby!" Nora shook her shoulders, moving towards Damon as they both laughed. Elena watched the two, never seeing Damon so happy. The eldest Salvatore spun the brunette. Nora wrapped her hands around his neck as they both moved to the beat of the music. Nora kissed him out of habit. Damon didn't pull away, instead he pulled her closer. Nora smiled into the kiss, letting a hand slide down his chest. As if a man with a stick that said common sense hit her in the head with it, she pushed him away.
"This is not okay." Nora walked backwards not understanding why the hell she just kissed him. She walked off grabbing a unopened bottle of whisky. Considering Stefan was gone, she decided she'd stay in his room for the time being. A few hours had passed by and she could hear things being thrown in Damons room. She sped to his room to see him huffing in anger with a guitar in hand. She grabbed the guitar from him before he looked in her eyes. He set the guitar down, resting his head on her shoulder.
That night she fell asleep with Damon in her arms. She hummed a random tune and brushed her hands through his hair. She didn't care how mad she was at him, or who had the right to be angry at who. The only thing she cared about was Damon.
