CHAPTER 4

Kalopsia [ka-lop-se-a]: The delusion of things being more beautiful than they are

The United Kingdom. Sitting on the bench of the fair, I feel the wind blowing on my face.

"Why do most of the girls love pink so much?"

"You love cotton candy, yeah?" I nod my head at him.

"I love cotton candy, it's so sweet; its touch feels soft and cloudy. It is a weird feeling, but I like it" I say to him, smiling.

"Well, pink is like cotton candy. It's sweet, bubbly and cute- just like you" He explains, his hands stroking down my thighs softly, comforting me.

"Then why do some girls don't like it? They say that pink is very girl-ish if that's the word"

"Pink is people's cheeks in the cold and in the warm. Most of the female species feel that pink is a female colour, it's all about preferences, some people may not like pink because it's a very common stereotyping colour" He explains, making me nod my head at him.

"Female species?" I mock him, laughing loudly at his choice of words.

I can feel Adrian grin at me amusedly, making my cheeks go warmer.

"Pink is like strawberry bubblegum, pink is the colour of your cheeks when you blush, it's the colour of your lips" I feel his thumb softly rub against my lips, making me smile at him.

"So it is like strawberries?" I ask him, feeling his large hands stroking my thighs again.

"Yeah, strawberries taste like pink itself" He replies, making me grin at him.

"Can we drink a strawberry milkshake now?" I ask him, standing up and holding his hands.

"Yes, milady" He replies, tightening our braided hands together.
