Although we're strangers anyway ...

" I told my dad to get my things ready , tonight will be so much fun . How many rooms does your house have ? " Rose exclaimed as we walked sideways along the school's hallway .

Classes were already over , and the other's seperated their ways to pack there things , including Jisoo . And you know what's worst ? The fact that I'm left with Rose and Chanyeol .

I tried not to be too awkward because earlier I was pretty weird and I do not want to be weirder than that . " I think about 25 ? " I spoke , not sure about my answer . The mansion consists of more than 25 room overall , we have a whole field that belongs to us as part of the land that we own .  " That's cool . We'll sure be great friends . " she spoke . I faked a smile and turned away hiding my sight from her annoying face .

" I'll be right back . " Rose spoke and walked away towards a store , Shoot . Do I really have to be left with him ? sighs ...

" You must be very rich " Chanyeol spoke all of a sudden . " How's life being the Chairman's granddaughter . " he continued . I turned to him and looked for words to speak , it was hard pretending someone you are not . But I was rich , maybe I could use that . " It's fine . Gets a little boring at sometimes . " I said .

" Boring ? How is being rich boring in such way ? " he chuckled , he thinks I was joking ? I rolled my eyes . " Sometimes , I wish I could be treated normal ... " I sighed and whispered , forgetting that I was with someone .

" What do you mean ? You ARE normal . " Chanyeol spoke beside me . " No , I -- ugh , you wouldn't understand . " I walked away from him and followed Rose inside the store . All I heard was his footsteps behind me , but I didn't bother glancing at him .

We went inside a gift store where Rose was looking around . I stopped my thoughts and began to wander around too . My lips formed a smile as I saw a bear hanging in a corner . It has printed words on it ' Forever Promise ' . I stare at it and eyes began to water .

" Y/n -ah ! Come and get me this bear ! Aww. So cute ! " Jennie exclaimed pulling me towards a gift store with lots of stuffs in it .

" You have your money , why would I buy you one ? " I frowned at her and remove my hands out of her grip . She pouted and did an aegyo . " Please . Next week's my birthday anyway ... " she pouted . She kept pouting until I rolled my eyes , I couldn't resist someone like her . " Haish . Fine . " I rolled my eyes and took the bear from her hands and payed it in the counter .

She squealed in excitement as I handed her the bag with the bear inside . " Excuse me , can I get a greeting card ? " I asked the counter lady . She nodded and handed me one . I smiled at her , I took a pen and started writing on it .

' May our friendship last longer until our last breath . Happy Birthday Jennie , I love you ! '

I sighed and smiled as I stick the card in the bag . Her forehead creased , " Oh ? " she looked at the card and began reading it . That was when she didn't talk and stared at it . My forehead creased when I noticed her tearing up , she looked up to me with teary eyes . " I love you too , y/n-ah . I promise that I'll never leave you until my last breath ... " she spoke and pulled me into a hug .

I hugged her back and caressed her hair , calming her down .

" Me too , Jennie . Me too ... "
