Standing on half-blood hill I looked down at the camp with awe. It was beautiful. Percy turned and grinned at me.
"So what do you think?"
"It's amazing" I replied with a smile.
He started walking down the hill and I followed. Campers turned and waved when they noticed me, the new arrival. I waved back shyly and continued to follow Percy.
"We better take you to BEEP BEEP BEEP"
"Huh?" I asked confused
My alarm slowly pulled me out of my dream. I groaned an punched the button to turn it off. I sat there for a while wishing the dream was real.
"Grace" my mom yelled from downstairs, "it's time to get up."
I sighed slowly getting out of the warm bed. I continued over to my dresser and started to get dressed. I put on my favorite Harry Potter shirt and some black leggings. As I was walking downstairs to go get breakfast Dylan, my younger brother, nearly knocked me over as he scurried down the stairs."Sorry Gracie" he muttered.
I rolled my eyes, "will you please STOP calling me Gracie. It's too girly"
"Whatever you want, Gracie." He snickered and jumped down the last few stairs.
I walked into the kitchen and began looking through the pantry for my favorite bagels. I turned to find Dylan devouring the last one.
"I guess I'll be skipping breakfast today" I muttered under my breath.
Once I was finished getting ready for school, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. I ran to the bus stop and made it just in time. I scanned the bus for an open seat. I soon found one at the back and slid into it. I pulled out the book I was currently reading and sighed. It was going to be another long day at Porter high school. I turned to my place and began reading.

When the lunch bell rang I hurried out of math class. I shoved my binder and math book into my locker and pulled out my lunch. As I was walking towards the lunch room some guy shoved past me.
"What a nerd" he said obviously loud enough for me to hear. I looked at the ground, ignoring it.
I reached the lunch room and sat at my regular table next to my best friend, Jaclyn.
"Hey jack" I said as I pulled out a sandwich.
"Hey" she replied seeming agitated.
I frowned and asked, "you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine" she said shaking whatever was on her mind off, "how was science?"
"Fine. The lab was boring."
"Darn. I was hoping it would be fun."
We chatted about everything we normally talk about, books, celebrities, and random school stuff. Much too soon it was time to go back to class.

The bus ride home was the same as always. Hyper kids yelling and insulting each other. I ignored most of it until the bus reached my stop where I hurriedly got off the bus. I was eager to get away from it. I began to trudge home but stopped when I heard a strange popping noise. I turned around to be nearly blinded by a bright shining light. It changed colors until it slowly faded away. Standing in its place was a boy with sea green eyes.
"Hey I'm percy" he said with a goofy grin.
