Chapter 19- All Tied Up

Thomas's POV   

I lead Newt into the passageway that is behind the building where the berg is. I am half dragging him to the building when he fully collapses. I go to pick him back up again when I hear Teresa on the loudspeakers. She is saying that either y/n's or I's blood can cure Newt. Is she lying? Could I save one of my best friends from slowly going insane? Honestly at this point Newt will die anyways so maybe I should just go back and give my blood while I find y/n and help her escape. I am put out of my thoughts by Newt grunting. He is standing up and slightly leaning to one side. I start to approach him then I realize that he is almost past the gone. He looks at me with black ooze running down his face and a savage look in his eye. He stumbles towards me and I push him down. He comes towards me again and I try to pin him down but he tackles me. We both toss and turn and suddenly I am over him. He punches me in the stomach and I double over in pain and this is when he gets back on me again. I see his pupils clear a little and he says

"Tommy kill me, please."

When I don't do anything to him he says

"I'm sorry Tommy."

In one quick motion he snatches his gun out of his pocket and aims it at his head. I smack it out of his hand and roll out from under him. He roars and pulls out his knife and starts swinging wildly. He finally pinns me down again and tries to stab me. This is when I realize there is only one thing left that I can do.

Gally's POV

Minho and I approach the berg as I hear Teresa over the loudspeaker saying that we can help newt. I really hope this shank is right. I grab Brenda and a couple of the other kids as I run back to Thomas and Newt. I stand shocked to see Newt hovering over Thomas with a knife. Good thing we came when we did or this may have been a lot worse. Minho sprints up to Newt and tackles him. He definitely should be a wrestler or something because he's always tackling people. Brenda rips off pieces of cloth from her jacket and ties Newt's mouth shut so he can't bite anybody. I take out some zip ties out of my guard uniform and tie his hands and feet together. He isn't going anywhere until we get the cure. It was quite hard to tie him up. He screamed, squirmed, and punched but I would not let him hurt another soul. I had his feet tied but was struggling with his hands. I had his left one pinned under me when his right hand hit me with such a force I didn't even think it was possible. A sharp pain runs up my jaw and I couldn't help but cry out. Brenda came running over and helped me tie his hands together. When we got him fully bound up, Thomas and 2 of the kids we brought along help to carry Newt up into the building that Minho is in. While they carry Newt, Brenda, Minho, and I would run ahead to try and find y/n. We break into a sprint and start heading up to the 20th floor. That was where Minho was so I am assuming that is where they are keeping y/n. On the 3rd floor we pass Ava Paige's dead body. That's nice, very appealing I think to myself as we head to the elevator.
