"I'm so happy that you are fine again, Hyukkie. You are really nowhere hurt anymore? Sungmin let you go?" Donghae was smiling happily, even saying this without any stutter as he lay in Hyukjae's arms on said man's bunk. Ryeowook was practically using the cell only to sleep so Donghae liked being there with the older man. In the infirmary there had been no privacy and he didn't want to show his happiness while the cause of his happiness was ill or rather couldn't because he thought the illness was entirely his fault.
Hyukjae chuckled softly and stroked the other's hair gently, holding him close. "Yes fishy, I'm fine again, Sungmin let me go and no, I'm nowhere hurt anymore. Thank you for visiting me every day and taking care of me when everyone was too busy to do so."
It was rare, no it had probably never happened, for Hyukjae to let such words slip passed his lips after his first boyfriend had died. But those words were true and this feeling strange to the serial killer so he just had to let it all out and it felt good.
For a very long time in his life he was very happy and had almost forgotten how it felt like to be happy. People actually took care of him and cared for him. People made him open up and work on himself. It made Hyukjae very happy, yet anxious. He asked himself what was happening to him, was it good, was it bad, did he really want to be changing? It was actually worthless regarding the fact that he for sure would be sentenced to death. Otherwise... Shouldn't you enjoy the little time you had left and make the best out of it, out of yourself?
Still, he wasn't sure whether he wanted all this, whether he should let himself be changed.
Hyukjae didn't realize that he let out the breath he had been holding for so long until Donghae looked up to him a little and touched his cheek. "Hyukkie? Are you alright?"
"Huh?" Hyukjae shook his head slightly and gave Donghae a smile as he rested his hand on the other's. "Yes, I'm alright. I was just thinking. Fishy, you remember I told you a little about my past?" He received a nod from the younger.
"I think it's just fair when you tell me something about yourself, too. I know so little about you." Hyukjae tried to change the subject.
Donghae tilted his head a little and nodded before comfortably resting his head on Hyukjae's chest again. "Yeah, just fair. What do you want to know, Hyukkie?" He sounded a little uncertain and nervous.
"You don't need to tell me anything if you don't want to or feel comfortable with it. But if you don't mind, could you tell me how you got here? I mean, you look so innocent and way too cute to be in a prison. Just like Ryeowook, should ask him sometime as well." He murmured the last part in thoughts and shook his head slightly.
"Anyways, mind telling me, fishy?" Hyukjae smiled and played with the other's hair which grew longer over the past weeks and the older liked it that way.
Donghae bit his lips and nodded. "I don't mind telling you, Hyukkie." He smiled slightly and placed Hyukjae's hands on his belly and his own on top of the other's before he started.
"It was night time..."

Donghae walked around the building, it was his night to clean up and he couldn't find any towel or rag to clean up with. He pouted and decided to use just regular paper towels instead. Donghae wiped down all the tables, he cleaned the bar, and even picked up some extra cash that had fallen or was forgotten.
It had started raining and Donghae was questioning whether it would be a good idea to leave or not. He had no car, he didn't even have his license, and if he walked home some guy would probably hurt him. To be honest, it was scary to think about, even if he was a murderer and could easily defend himself. After a while he finished cleaning up and sat down at a table quietly, thinking about where he should sleep for the night.
