A face that sometimes hides all the pain
Lips that wrinkled up
Upward eyebrows
Doesn’t always mean she is happy
She does not talk a lot about what is going on with her mindShe frowns with a hint of scowl
But she is not crying yet
But sure as hell she feels like it
I’m sure it hurts, a whole lotSometimes she will feel like life feels heavy and she is improperly equipped
She always seem to be falling short somewhere
She is sad, deep down to her bones
And she really don’t know whyShe is anxious
She is exhausted
Exhausted from all the effort of processing all of those feelingsVices to dull the pain
Sometimes it is loud
She wants to quiet down
She is trying so damn hardShe can be happy too, even when she is sad
And there is something to be said for that
