"Hell."

"Are you crazy?!" Melody hopped off his back and stood in front of him. "Tell me you're joking, right now."

"I'm serious. How many angels have been to hell? Very few if not none. It would be perfect."

Melody shook her head and gripped her hair, panic overwhelming her. "Do you have any idea what will happen to us if we get caught?"

"Then we won't get caught. Come on it'll be fun." Alastair held her hand and tugged slightly.

"There's no way I'm agreeing to this."

_______________

"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this." Melody grumbled as she gripped onto Alastair who was flying them to hell. "If our parents find out about this they'll kill us. That is if we don't get killed in hell."

"I'm a demon, remember? I doubt they'd hurt their own kind." Alastair slowed down before landing in front of a huge gate.

They were both awestruck at the foreign land they were about to step onto.

Alastair's throat tightened and his eyes prickled with tears as he stared at the home he never grew up in. He wondered how his life would've been if he had known his father-whoever he might be- and grown up with him and his mother.

A hand on his shoulder pulled him out of his thoughts. "You sure you want to do this?" A worried Melody asked.

He cleared his throat and blinked away tears. "A hundred percent." He pulled her by her waist to his side and raised the camera into the air. "Say Satan!"

_______________

Alastair and Melody were surprised by the lack of guards which allowed them to move around easily.

Still, they treaded carefully, keeping a lookout for anyone.

"Wow check this out." Alastair picked up an artifact and inspected it. "Take a picture come on." He held it close to his face and smiled.

Melody chuckled and snapped a photo. "I'm surprised at how good this looks. I expected way worse from what I've heard." She admired the palace and took pictures of everything.

"Same here. I thought everything would be on fire." He placed the artifact back in place and decided to wander further into the huge hallway. "I wonder what's down here. Melody come on." He grabbed her hand and pulled her behind him as he decided to open a door to his left.

Melody slapped his hand away from the handle and quickly stood between him and the door. "Al! We're risking enough by simply entering the gates. We can't get caught in someone's bedroom." She yelled in a hushed tone.

"I doubt anyone lives here. And what's the worse that could happen? We're already snooping around in the palace, what's another room?" He tried to go around her but she placed her hands on his chest.

"But if someone's in there and we get caught, we'll get sent to jail or worse get executed!" She whispered in horror as she looked pleadingly into his eyes.

Alastair chuckled before moving closer to her, making her back up into the door. "Why are you whispering?" He whispered back as he smirked at her blushing face. "Come on, Mel, do it for me?" He moved closer and said in her ear.

Melody's breath hitched at the proximity and she was sure for a second that he'd heard the pounding of her heart. "Okay." She managed to say.

He pulled away and smiled. "Great, let's go."

They entered the room and tapped the wall blindly looking for a light switch. Melody found the switch and flicked the lights on, revealing what looked like a master bedroom.

"Woah it looks like no one's been here for ages." Alastair remarked, noticing the the dust covered counter.

The room itself seemed luxurious, if it weren't for the dust that covered it.

"I don't get it. You'd think they have someone to take care of the rooms in this palace. Whoever's on duty is doing a terrible job-" Alastair's train of thoughts was disrupted at the sight of a photo frame with the picture of a girl sitting in a garden and smiling at the camera.

He approached the frame, holding it clearly in front of his face to make sure his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. "Is that...my mom?" His heart stilled at the thought, suddenly aware that this might where his father be. He frantically looked around the room, hoping to find anything else.

"Hey! Who opened the door?" A guard's voice sounded from the hallway.

Melody immediately panicked and gripped Alastair's hand. "Come on we have to go."

Her words fell on deaf ears. "There has to be something here." Alastair's eyes searched the room frantically.

"Who's there?" Another guard yelled, sounding closer to the room than before.

"We have to go right now." Melody yelled and pulled harder on his arm. "Alastair please!" He seemed to snap out of his daze and let his best friend drag him out of the room, dropping the photo from his hands.

They both ran out, nearly crashing into the guards who were about to enter the room.

"Stop right there!" They yelled before chasing after them.

Melody panicked and seemed to be dragging Alastair behind her. "Where do we go?"

"I don't know but hang on." He unfurled his wings and picked her up as he barely managed to flap his wings in the tight container of the hallway.

Seeing a huge door ahead, he sped up, hoping to find an exit. Right before he crashed into it, he pushed his legs in front of him and kicked the door open before landing on the floor with Melody safe in his arms.

Tucking his wings in and setting her down, he observed his surroundings, disappointed to find himself into what looked like a throne room.

A trembling Melody gripped his arm and hid behind him, whimpering when she noticed they weren't alone in the room.

Straight ahead, sitting proudly at the throne, there was a man.

Lucifer himself was sitting a mere ten feet away.

You'd think in quarantine and all that I'd have time to write but nah my day goes by so fast between waking up in the afternoon, reading, watching Netflix, and eating a shit ton. Besides, I'm feeling so bottled up after sitting in the house for so long and IT SUCKS.

So I'm trying to write whenever I feel I can and your comments and votes mean the world to me! They give me all the strength I need to get my lazy butt out of bed and write more chapters. I love you all!
