Sparks erupted in the two's bodies and Melody was sure an entire zoo moved into her stomach. She was shocked by the sudden force on her lips but she wasted no time in returning the kiss.

Alastair felt like he was on top of the world. He had finally found his mate, and he was ecstatic to know that it was the girl he's been wanting forever. Now that she was finally his, he was never letting go of her.

Melody pulled away first to catch her breath but Alastair was not ready to let her go yet; his arms were wound around her waist to keep her body against his. Melody flushed under his gaze. His eyes were pure red and his inner demon was pushing for control. And that's exactly what he got.

"You're mine, mate. Only mine." His demon growled. Melody nodded, still not believing it for herself. He buried his face in her neck and inhaled the intoxicating smell only his mate could emit.

As the reality of the situation hit Melody, she flushed beet red and pulled away from Alastair. "We should head home. Can you give Alastair control back, please?" The demon couldn't resist any request from his mate and immediately retreated to the back of Alastair's mind.

"What are we gonna tell our parents?" Melody fiddled with her fingers as she waits for the door to be answered.

"The truth." Alastair mumbled before the door was pulled open harshly and both kids were pulled inside.

"Do you have any idea how worried we had been?" Shalom gripped her son's shoulders. "You were no where to be found and neither of you were answering your phones!" She shook him and pulled him closer. "Where the hell where you."

"Funny you should say that." Melody nervously chuckled and her father, who had been watching silently behind Shalom, snapped his eyes towards her.

"No." Marcus whispered. The unspoken words hung in the air, suffocating the room with deadly silence.

"Yes." Melody hung her head, fearing the soon outburst of the two adults.

"You-you were in hell?" Shalom looked a her son in disbelief. She stumbled backwards and Marcus was quick to help her on her feet. "You-how-wh-"

"I know Lucifer is my dad."

All heads snapped to Alastair in surprise." I saw a picture of you in a deserted room. I felt this weird connection to Lucifer as soon as we saw him. His eyes were an exact replica of mine, they even turned red like mine! You've always told me my father was a demon but you never told me who, and I'm pretty sure it's Lucifer.

Shalom sighed before pulling her son beside her on the couch. "Back when I was eighteen..."

It's the disappearing and coming back for a short update for me.

I'm sooo sorry guys for the suuuper long wait and veeeery short update. I feel like this book is boring and completely useless. Like it's so obvious where it's headed and what's gonna happen. I'm thinking of discontinuing it but then book 1 would be incomplete.

Idk what to do y'all.

On a brighter not, i have several book ideas and planning to start a new book soon. Hope you'll check it out when i announce it.

love you all very very much.
