Standing infront of a mirror wasn't always this hard, but today I wanted to at least attempt to look 'cute', I would usually go for something simple and black, maybe a pair of skinnies and a tank.
I sighed as I stepped out of my room, making my way straight down the hall to barch into my sisters room without even knocking.
"Hey!" she groaned as I entered, holding a make-up brush by her eyes in front of the mirror, "There's this thing you can do, like, punch your hand on the door to-"
"Shut up, Abbie, do you have anything cute I can wear?"
The beautiful sound of old fashioned sisterly love.
Abbie looked at me with raised brows and a weird smile, "Something cute? Are you for real Mags?"
I crossed my arms, leaning by the door frame, "Yeah, like a little skirt and tank set you're always wearing or some cute trousers."
Abbie raised herself from the floor and walked over to her dresser, "Are you trying to impress someone? Like Nialler?" She looked at me suggestively.
"No, you know he has a girlfriend."
My sister took out a purple pastel ribbed skirt and top set, the top was cropped and square at the chest, the skirt looked fairly high waisted, I could probably roll with that.
"Yeah I've seen her around school, I can see why you wanna dress cute." She teased and held out the top in front of me, squinting her eyes, "Purple isn't your colour." Oh, so I could apparantely not roll with that.
We were only a year apart, which meant that we had been in the same school together almost every year except for that one year when I switch, but she always comes along the next year, she had the biggest crush on Louis and she'd had one since middle school, whenever he was over she would be all over the place, in the kitchen when we ate, in the couch when we watched a film, even followed us into my room.
Louis would probably go for her if it wasn't my sister, he'd known both of us since we were seven and eight, he thought of us as siblings.
We were quite different, she loved clothes and makeup and knew all the latest trends and what's in and out, not saying I don't have any sense of fashion, just a bit different kind, I've always hung out with boys so hoodies and jeans became a regularity. I did own a few sundresses though...
"These pants will make your ass huge, I swear to god!" Abbie took out a pair of pastel yellow dress pants with a straight leg and a slit in the front down by the ankles. They looked high waisted and like something I wouldn't even squeeze over my thighs (which is probably why my ass would look huge).
"I can wear this tank then?" I looked down at the cropped black tank top I was wearing, which was simple enough if I had to wear yellow dress pants to look cute.
"Yes!" Abbie closed her wardrobe after putting back the purple set. She didn't hesitate to go back to her mirror and finish her eyemakeup before I'd even left the room.
"Thanks," I tell her before going back to my own room, what had flown into me? I'd never felt the need to look cute, especially not for Niall, or anyone for that matter.

After I realized I didn't know how to do my hair I let it be. Dark blonde straight hair with highlights and bleached by the fringe (yes, Abbie made me) hung right by the shoulders.
I did my make-up a little heavier than usual, covering the bags under my eyes, contouring my cheeks and chin, dark brown smokey eyeshadow and a double layer of mascara. Finished with blush and highlighter on the bow of the lip and tip of the nose.
