Louis' words followed me through the day, even if deep down knew he was right it wasn't something I wanted to hear out loud.
It hurt me even more now whenever he laughed at something Erin said, or that she was the first person he looked at whenever he said something funny to see if she found it funny too, he looked at her in a way that made me feel left out. As if she was the only person in the room sometimes, and I could feel the jealousy down to my toes.
"Liam and Zayn are on their way, I don't think Lisa's coming though..." Erin mumbled as she looked at her phone with a frown,
"We all agreed she's boring," Niall spoke loudly, "I'm sorry babe, she just is." He shrugged and Wienna and I grinned at him.
A few weeks prior:
"I don't care, mate, Lisa is boring!" Louis exclaimed as he sorted the cards between his both hands, "There are plenty of women who are funny and would date you, Liam." Louis was once again furious about how boring Lisa was, and it wasn't a surprise to hear Louis complain about something.
Liam sighed, "She is very boring isn't she?" he asked into thin air, "I'm always depressed around her."
"What's stopping you, then? Break up with her!" Wienna chipped in with a chuckle and shook her head in disappointment. Wienna never had trouble with guys, she usually fell in love with someone at her gym and then fell out again when a new cute guy walked in.
"Her brother's a mechanic and my ca-"
"What is wrong with you, Liam?!" Louis threw his cards away, "Maybe you should be dating her brother, lad."
I couldn't help but laugh, Liam looked at Louis with a blank face as he stood up and went to the minibar to fill up his cup.
"I can't deal with him anymore, come now," Louis patted his hand on his hip as if telling a dog to walk beside him, he's such a diva. "I need a smoke before I punch him."
Louis had mocking grin resting on his lips, staring at Liam as he went to the patio, I followed his lead even though he basically called me a bitch just now.
"I could strangle you with my feet, tiny little man." Liam responded to Louis' comment in a mutter, also a mischevious smile on his face.
I couldn't see it but I could feel Louis rolling his eyes at Liam calling him little, he wasn't, because he was 5'9. (That's what he says.)
Present:
"I like her!" Erin disagreed with a sigh, "She took the best photos of me," even Niall rolled his eyes at that.
"Is Harry with them?" I questioned quietly, wondering why he wouldn't be.
Erin shook her head, "No, sorry love, but I thought you and Zayn had a thing."
We did not.
Okay - we talked a lot. Snapchats through the day, we'd talked on the phone two nights over the last couple days, but I wouldn't call it a thing. I did enjoy talking to him, he was funny and could talk forever about books, methapors, music... It was a nice change from the usual bullsht my friends and I talked about all the time. I was almsot certain it wasn't anything more than a growing friendship.
"I wouldn't call it a thing," I told the curious three in front of me, "Why isn't he coming?"
"You're quite interested in Harry." Wienna pointed out as she took a sip from her glass, pinky pointing out.
I chuckled, "Just thought he'd want to be with his friends on new years eve."
"Harry's complicated, maybe he doesn't like us." Niall suggested, but I think he did. At least he liked Zayn and Liam, and from what Zayn's told me those boys are his closest and maybe even only friends. He should be here.
