It has been a week since I talked to Cole.
I don't know what to say to him, so I have been blocking all of his calls, and ignoring his texts. During school, even though Cole is always chasing after me, I don't listen to him.
He is a jerk.
There is no doubt about that.
I wish he would just stop trying to apologize! He did something that I would probably never forgive, unless he had a good reason.
To be honest, I am having a little trouble ignoring him. Everytime he comes up to me with those soft eyes and that concerned smile, I just want to go up to him and forgive him badly.
Although, now, since it has been a week, I'm getting better at ignoring him, and, for the past few days, I haven't even noticed him. Now it is Friday morning, and I have to get ready for school.
As I roll out of my bed, I here my phone chime as it does when it recieves a text message.
It's probably Stacy-- again! I told her I'm not a morning person, and I can't go on a walk with her before school! I thought to myself, rolling me eyes as I walked over to me phone.
To my surprise, it wasn't Stacy who messaged me, it was Cole.
Of course it was.
I should really look at this one text. I've ignored all of them, and I have to be a little generous and give him a chance.
I unlocked my phone, and went to the text message.Cole: Emma, ik u r mad at me. I understand why. Plz just hear me out first. I didn't
mean to do what I did. Idk why I was so rude to u, idk what got into me. It is ok if u think I'm a jerk. I deserve that. What happened was, my friends were like r u going out with that Emma girl? And I was like yeah I am. And, u know how I'm the most popular boy, right. So my friends were like why r u keeping her a secret? Show off your girl already. And they were like going on and on about that stuff, and then, they told me to do that to u before class. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I want you back. After reading his text, I felt very guilty for not listening to him before. He is not a jerk, no, his friends are jerks. My Cole is as sweet as he ever was. He never meant to anything wrong.
I need to find him.
I quickly rushed to get ready, put on a purple top with some light blue jeans, my high top purple Converses, and headed out to school."Cole! Oh Cole--" I exclaimed as I ran down the hallway to find Cole.
Before I could say anything, though, a teacher caught me running, and stopped me right in my tracks.
"Young lady, you are not allowed to run in the hallways-- ever. I don't care how late your are, or what you have to do that is causing you to be in a rush. Don't run, please. You are getting detention for this. I will see you tomorrow morning, at 8." the teacher sternly stated.
"Um, ok, uh, I'll be there. Just I need to leave-- Cole! Hi! I am so sorry for ignoring you all this time! I shouldn't have done that. Can we please--" I started only to be interrupted again.
It was Cole who interrupted me.
With a kiss.
He just pushed his lips up against mine, and before I knew it, we were in each other's arms, kissing.
Finally, when Cole pulled away, I noticed that everyone was staring at us, with their mouths hanging open.
I don't know why they were so surprised.
"What are you guys looking at? Please, go back to what you were doing!" I shouted. After that incident at school, Cole and I decided that we wouldn't show much public affection, because there are many people at our school that would love to spread the news about our relationship.
Cole decided that for our next date, we could just have pizza at his house while watching a movie, unless I wanted to do something else.
Obviously, I loved his idea and we decided that we would meet at his house at 5:00.
Right now, it is 4:00.
"Mommmmmmm! I don't know what to wearrrrrrrrrrrrr!" I shouted out to my mom, who was downstairs working some tax documents.
"Yes, honey, I'm coming. But, I'm in the middle of something so why don't you give me a couple minutes to wrap up my paperwork, and, while that, you can just start looking for shoes. Sound like a plan?"
"Sure thing, mom."
I went to my shoe drawer and looked through all of my options. I had white adidas sneakers, a pair of grey nikes, and a couple pairs of colorful converses. I decided to text Cole.
Emma: Hey, what shoes should I wear?Cole: Do I have to give my opinion? :(
Emma: Yes, now white adidas, grey nike, or blue, purple, red, yellow converse?
Cole: Whatever EMMMM!
Emma: So..... what will it be?
Cole: White adidas or whatever....
Emma: But what if it doesn't match my outfit
Cole: EMMA!! Ughhhhh bye.
Emma: Bye... I'm gonna go with the grey nikes. C U! :)
"Mom, I chose my shoes! Come upstairs now!" I complained to my mom, who had still not come downstairs.
"Yes, yes, I'm here!" my mom said while leaning against my door frame.
"Well, you can come in.... Any day now...." I hinted.
"Ok, let me have a look at what you've got in that messy closet of yours. By the way, do I need to remind you that you need to clean it up?"
"MOM!"
After my mom stopped complaining about my closet, we started to look through my options. We went through tops, then bottoms, then hairstyles, and then, finally, make up.
After thirty minutes of hard work, I ended up wearing a loose light blue half-sleeve shirt, black jeans, my grey nikes, my hair in a ponytail, and some light eyeshadow for make up.
By then, it was 4:45.
My mom agreed to give me a ride, and we went straight to the car.
Since Cole's house is not that far from mine, we were there in about five minutes. I said my goodbyes to my mom, and told her that I would text her about coming home. I rang the doorbell, which let out a joyful chime inside the house. The door creaked open, and revealed Cole.
He was wearing sweats, so I was glad that I didn't dress up too fancy. After all, we were just watching a movie and having pizza.
"Hey, Emma, you look great!" Cole complimented.
"Thanks, you too! Have you picked out a movie?" I replied.
"Yes, indeed I have. Um, why don't you meet me on the couch, I'll just tell my mom to keep everyone out of the room so we can have a little privacy."
Cole went into the kitchen to tell his mom about how she can't come into the living room, and I went into the house and sat on the couch. I looked around, and I saw amazing, cute pictures of Cole. I saw some of this other much older looking boy as well, but Cole had never metioned having a brother.
"Hey, Em, we ran out of popcorn, so, are pretzels okay?" Cole interrupted my thoughts.
"Yeah sure, as long as I get to sit with you," I replied.
Cole came over to where I was and gave me a little kiss on my cheek.
He put his arm around me and turned on the movie.
