*The past year, before Emma moved to California, her old best friend is Charlotte, and the boy that she dated was named Oliver.*
"Oh Emma! You can't possibly date that boy! He is so rugged and mysterious, and you, my friend, are not!" Charlotte exclaimed.
Oliver had just asked me out.
I was completely awestruck.
He had just moved to my new school, walking through the hallways like he ruled the world. He always wore the darkest of jeans, and the heaviest of leather jackets. His heavy boots pounded across the halls and caused the floors to slightly quiver. His defined features and sharp forest green eyes could capture any girl's heart.
Why me?
After all, I am the most delicate and sensitive girl one could imagine.
Even after all that, he still chose me.*Few months later, just when Emma is about to move to California*
Oliver and I had just been walking around the park after a wonderful picnic-- that was very unlike his nature to set up. He had been the kindest of gentlemen, and I was feeling very anxious about the elephant in the room.
The truth was, I didn't want to leave Oliver.
He had been so kind to me, and I always felt like we were meant to be. Charlotte has always criticized me for liking such a rough guy, but, deep down, Oliver is soft.
He has a heart.
"Oliver," I mumbled, hesitantly fidgeting with my fingers. "We have to talk."
"Wait... Emma! Are you breaking up with me? I mean you sound like--" Oliver started before I stopped him in his tracks.
"Oliver! This is serious. I have to say something. It may end our relationship-- but just know, we can handle what comes next."
"Em, are you saying--"
"I know what I am saying. Just let me finish. We aren't breaking up, and we have to agree that we never broke up once I go," I strongly stated, my thoughts boucing around and my head feeling hot. "We might find others, but we are technically still together. Okay?"
"But Emma..." Oliver softly whispered with his piercing green eyes staring into mine.
"Oliver. We will always be there for each other. We are still together!" I blurted as I prepared for the big part. I had to break it to him sometime. It was now or never. "I have to move, and I have to leave you."*A few days before the sleepover at Cole's house*
Oliver: Hey Em! im in Cali for some time, wanna meet up? :)
