I wish they were as kind as me, because no one should know the opposite. I deserve the treatment of kindness, and even as a stranger. I worked customer service, I know how they are supposed to react. It hurts because I treated you better. And it hurts that you didn't learn, that you dismiss and put aside my kindness.
I've been told
Threats
I've been told
Compliments
That I should forget
To follow the rules
And just give in to your demands
And given praise
For taking a stand.
I've been given praise
Of my ways of following the rules
And staying cool under pressure,
I've been told
I'm friendly, and kind
And wonderful
I've been told
Many things
In different places and faces
But what matters is what I know
And I know I should be treated better.
