y/n woke up, eyes flashed open to a white room. shit, it was bright. where was she?
she sat up and realized the state she was in. on a hospital bed, iv in arm and oxygen mask strapped to her face as she laid down.
she had another panic attack.
she ripped the mask off her face and tore the iv from her arm and walked calmly out of the hospital room. she must've been taken there after the nurse's office. she spotted a phone nearby, ignoring the glances of a few fellow patients and nurses, walking towards it.
she dialed katsuki's number, trembling at the thought of him actually being dead. her heartbeat was getting louder again.
"who is this?"
she'd never felt more relieved in her entire life to hear his stupid voice. she always knew his words had an effect on her but hearing him like this, she felt like everything was irrelevant except him. he was the only thing that mattered in that moment.
"katsuki." she spoke softly.
"y/n! i've been calling your school since i got your calls. i'm sorry, baby. i'm okay, i promise i'm okay. i beat those shitfaced villains up, okay?"
"you're not hurt?"
"i have a few scratches but that was my own fault." he gulped, finally calmed after hearing that she was okay as well. he saw the aftermath of the first near-death experience on y/n, and he was panicked thinking about it. especially when she left all those text messages and calls unanswered. especially when her school told him they could not disclose any information to him.
"where are you?"
"a hospital, i'm not sure where. just another panic attack, don't worry, love." she chuckled softly. "you were the only one in any real danger."
"don't bullshit me, your health is important too. your panic attacks are hell, i'm sorry i couldn't call you back in time."
"whoa, katsuki saying sorry? what a world we live in~" y/n forced a smile on her face and cemented the sweet voice that she hoped would soothe katsuki. he was the one attacked by villains anyway. she shouldn't be selfish and take that trauma away from him with her panic attack. again.
"stop acting like you're okay, it pisses me off." he growled. "you're spending the night again."
"mhmm." tears dripped down her face and she glanced around the room. she found a sign saying the hospital name and she told katsuki.
"i'll be there in a few. don't do anything stupid."

she hung up and held her head on the wall as she cried. how could she be so self-absorbed? here he was worried about her when he was just in a villain attack. she heard footsteps all around her but a few, in particular, stood out amongst the crowd. his.
