The young princess woke up as if it was another typical day, except today wasn't so normal. Today was the day Aang promised to come back to visit the Southern Water Tribe for a month, Katara couldn't be any happier. She felt her stomach fill up with thousands of butterflies.

Katara got out of bed to open her blue curtains; the beaming sun immediately brightens up the room. Her eyes squinted from the blinding light.

The beautiful water bender looked out, and over the horizon, she could see the large tribe that her ancestors built; the only thing King Hakoda did was built on their success. Snow covered her balcony, the rails and ground were packed with snow, and the glistening snowflakes stood out with the sun.

"Katara, come. I have your outfit for today." An elderly lady said, laying out a layered blue dress; beside her was another lady. They both helped Katara get ready in the mornings, big royal balls, meetings, etc. They also kept Katara on track with her life, like keeping up to date with papers and letters sent to her from other kingdoms and nations.

Most of the letters would be from Queens and Kings asking Katara's hand in marriage with their sons. Everyone from all the four nations knew Katara was soon becoming queen, and that meant Katara had to have her options open for a new husband that she would spend the rest of her life with. She wouldn't be in love with this random man; she would be expected to have his children and rule with him till her last living breath.

She knew this would happen soon; she had to be present to her kingdom first; as the heir to the throne, Katara couldn't be selfish, or she would get a colossal punishment like getting put on probation until she shows that she can be a queen to her people and attend to them first. She had to put their needs over hers first. That happened to her great-great-grandmother; she wanted to be selfish for once, so she did, and it took her more than 10 years to gain everyone's trust. It wasn't easy, she was threatened to be killed, kidnaped, and she was almost sent to life in prison too. The Southern Water Tribe always had stringent rules; however, things have changed here, but not much has changed throughout the couple hundred years.

Anyways Katara's dad Hakoda decided to have an open offer with her. Katara had about 6 months to find a husband before she was announced queen; if she didn't find one before the 6 month period ended, then her father would take things into his own hands. The two knew what that meant, an arranged and forced marriage.

Katara put on a big smile; she gently grabbed the dress and walked behind a changing screen. She quickly changed into the dress; she took off her nightgown, causing herself to throw it on the cold, thick floor. She slid on a new pair of panties then started to put the blue dress on. She pulled the dress up to her chest, walked in front of the changing screen, and let the two ladies start working their magic on her.

The elderly woman started to tie the back of the blue dress while the other started to work on Katara's makeup. "So, Katara, are you excited for Avatar Aang's arrival today? I've heard you two used to have chemistry." The lady said as she held a small smirk. She started to work on Katara's makeup.

Katara felt her face get warm. "Umm. Yes, I am excited for Aang to come back." She took a small breath in before continuing her sentence, "The royal kingdom hasn't seen him in many, many months; we all miss his presence here." Katara looked at her reflection in the round silver mirror.

The lady behind Katara tighten her dress once again, "King Hakoda could use Avatar Aang's help with the royal kingdom; lately, we've had a decrease in the food supply, and we need that problem solved quickly. If word gets out that the tribe is struggling with food, then many people will go crazy, the press will be going around spreading big fake rumors."

Katara took a mental note to go talk to Aang and her father about that later today. "OK. I will take care of that with them later." She spotted some blue matching heels from her closet. "Claire, do you know what the agenda for today will look like?"
