After finishing, I had a shower and went downstairs. I was so happy. It felt so right to be with Nate. I never realized it was possible to enjoy that.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a loud knock on the door. I opened it and froze. Standing in front of me was Max, blood on his clothes. I slowly backed up as he stepped in the house.

"Want to know whose this is?" He smiled, gesturing to the blood stains, "It's the pack's weak Beta. I didn't even need to shift to take him out."

I was so scared that I couldn't even mind link Nate. I backed up to the wall and soon I was stuck between it and Max. He grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head.

"Where's your precious mate?" He mocked.

"He's not here." I lied, hoping Nate would come downstairs and sneak up on him.

He laughed, running his free hand down my body, "You mated with him. Your scent is different."

I struggled to get loose, "If he gets back, he'll kill you."

He brushed off my warning, "You belong to your master. When he finds out, you're in big trouble."

"Nate!" I mind linked, "Come downstairs, now!"

Moments later, Nate's wolf came bolting down the stairs. Max didn't have a chance to react as he was pulled off me and thrown to the ground. I watched as Max desperately tried to pull away enough to shift. Nate wrapped his jaw around Max's neck and bit down, killing him.

I screamed and backed away from them. As much as I hated someone, watching them die right before my eyes made me want to run again. I knew better this time and stayed put, just staring at the dead body.

Nate shot his attention outside as a scent came in. The Blood Moons' leader. It seemed brave of him to return on his own just as his friend got killed. I whimpered at the all too familliar smell.

"Nate, it's him." I said out loud.

"I know." He mind linked, almost calmly.

He ran outside and sniffed the air to locate the direction, then ran. I quickly, but fearfully, ran out to see. Nate slowed to a stop a little down the road. Moments later, a black wolf emerged from behind a house. I had never seen any of the men's wolves, but I knew it was him.

The black wolf snarled at Nate as it got ready to pounce. Nate did the same and within seconds, the two were fighting. Both of them got good bites in on each other and it was hard to tell who was winning. I saw a few fighters in wolf form approach, but none joined in. Being the official Luna, I could hear their mind links

"Stay back!" Nate said, "I can handle this."

"We don't want you getting hurt, Alpha!" One of the fighters pleaded.

"I'll be fine!" Nate growled, "Just make sure Delilah is safe!"

The fighters reluctantly ran over to me to stand guard. I stared in horror as I watched my mate fight for me. Growls turned into whimpers as the two of them did more damage to each other. Blood was starting to soak their fur. I could tell the fighters were using all their strength to not join the fight.

Another scream escaped my mouth as Nate fell to the ground. Before I knew what I was doing, I felt myself running on paws in their direction.

"Luna, no!" The fighters said in unison, chasing me.

I ignored them and pounced on the black wolf, knocking him to the ground. He shrieked in surprize and flailed violently, scratching my stomach. I barely felt the pain as I sunk my teeth into one of his front legs.

"That's for everything you put me through!" I knew he couldn't hear me, but it felt good thinking it, "And this is for Nate!"

I bit down on his neck. Another shriek escaped him as he kept flailing. I bit down harder, feeling the life draining from him. Soon enough, he fell limp. I released my grip and backed up, realizing what I just did. I finished it. It was over.
