Jimin dropped the pen.

That's it.

Jimin was at his wit's end. Literally.

The theories he was studying were not making sense to him anymore, as if he was reading a coded language or something. His brain seemed to heat up and looked like it was seconds away from bursting into pieces.

He clutched his head and groaned, squeezing his eyes shut. Stars flashed from the lack of sleep. He felt dizzy for a long moment before he froze to recompose himself. His eyes felt like they were pierced.

And, and, and — the stupidly gorgeous girl across him wasn't helping at all. He opened his eyes and looked at her, his hands holding his jaw.

Jeongyeon was reading, muttering something, frowning, palm on forehead and fingers in hair, other hand holding a pencil. Jimin groaned.

It was always like this. Every time he'd lift his head to relieve his neck of the cramps, he'd gasp as he'd meet with her face, those pink, soft, soft lips moving along to the words on the pages; he'd lose his focus all over again.

His mind would drift to the time when he'd offered the duo study session, and why he'd been so dumb, knowing the day would come where she'd be distracting.

So distracting that for a moment he wouldn't feel a thing, and then the next second, feel all the things at once.

And just like that, every day holding himself back was getting more and more difficult. Every day it was getting hard. With both Jeongyeon and studies, Jimin knew it wasn't long before he'd completely lose his mind.

Jeongyeon looked up at him. Anyone would think he was exaggerating, but his breath actually got knocked out of his lungs.

Eyes widening, he stared back. "What?" he asked, but it came out croaked. He cleared his throat. "What?"

"What?" she echoed.

"What?"

"Nothing. What happened to you?" she asked confusedly.

Something that's driving me crazy. "Nothing."

"Why are you staring like that?"

"I wasn't staring at you."

"You were staring and also in a different way. What happened?"

Awkward. "Nothing. I'm just tired."
