Jeongyeon woke up with blinding light pricking her eyes, heat rubbing off on her and muscles of her neck and back stiff and cramped.

As she tried to stretch herself, she craned her neck behind her to see Jungkook and Yeri splayed across the sofa weirdly, their limbs tangled. They were lightly snoring, their lips parted, chests heaving up and down slowly.

Jeongyeon smiled at the sight. They looked so cute, it was almost unreal. Smiling at them as she rubbed her eyes, she looked around. She realised that Jimin was missing.

Increasing the speed of the fan overhead, she searched him everywhere in the house, from the drawing-room to the balcony to the bathroom, but he was nowhere to be found. Standing in the middle of the house, she realised then that Jimin had left for his apartment, probably by the night itself.

Shrugging, she went for a bath. She didn't know how long it took, but when she came out dressed, she knew she took long enough because Yeri and Jungkook both had woken up.

"Jungkook, I love you and all," Yeri said, rubbing her eyes. "But I really don't appreciate you having such an aggressive ringtone to wake up to in the morning. My head hurts."

Jungkook slipped his phone in his pocket, running a hand through his hair. "Sorry, babe. That ringtone is customized for Jaehyun. You know he always has emergencies."

"Whatever. Mute it now. You ruined my sleep," she said grumpily.

Jeongyeon chuckled lowly. "What does he even have?"

"The beat drop of Believer. I support Imagine Dragons and all, but seriously? My head fricking hurts!" she whined.

Jeongyeon looked at Jungkook, who somehow looked sorry. "Don't worry, Jungkook. If it makes you feel any better, I have Chop Suey for my ringtone. My head throbs for five minutes after I wake up from it, but I never change it."

Jungkook gave her a "give me a heart to heart, homie" look and an open palm, as in a high-five. "That's right, it's cool. See?" he turned to Yeri. "Being cool sometimes doesn't hurt."

Yeri dropped down to the couch, holding her head and closing her eyes. "My head does."

Jeongyeon went to the kitchen and, from whatever she could make sense of, made a hangover soup, also some breakfast for all, and returned to the hall. Yeri lay twistedly and Jungkook was talking on the phone.

Half an hour later Yeri returned back to her jovial mode, chirpy with Jungkook as if she never got angry with him in the first place. After helping Jeongyeon clean up the house and profusely thanking her for the event, Yeri left, saying she'd go to Hyeri first and then wind up some stuff. Jeongyeon and Jungkook waved her goodbye from the front balcony, and when her car swerved out of the street, Jungkook insisted on helping Jeongyeon more.

"Jungkook, why do you like Yeri?" One question, and from Jungkook straightening the cushions and the sofa cotton and Jeongyeon sweeping the floor full of tiny scraps of confetti to washing the dishes and clearing everything off, they talked. Mostly he did, saying everything and nothing about his girlfriend. Jeongyeon chuckled. He was totally whipped for her.
