Restart: The Deal that Seemed Great

I turned around and smiled at Myler, "Hey Myler." I said nudging at Alice to say something cause she was obviously making it super obvious that something was off.

She snapped out of her daze and awkwardly responded, "Oh um...hey."

"You ok Alice? Something going on?" Myler said bending down to look up at Alice as she seemed to think the floor such an interesting thing.

She jumped back and behind me with the reddest face, "N-no not at all."

Myler crossed his arms looking between the two of us suspiciously, "Oh, I get it."

"What... you do?" I question thinking there was no way the oblivious Myler could connect the dots.

"Of course how could I not," he said walking towards us.

"It's not what you think," Alice said panicked.

I decided to jump in, even if there was no way that he already figured it out, he isn't even the brightest person getting an average of 70 on his tests and stuff.

"You ate something bad last ight." He said with so much confidence.

Alice and I looked at each other in relief but soon after that we just started to laugh so hard. Myler just looked between us confused.

He sighed, "I really need to get some guy friends cause hanging out with you two any longer will just make me feel even dumber."

"I agree" I said

"I second that," Alice said smiling at Myler like she always has.

The bell rang and I started to run into the building as fast as I can, I can't miss my first-period class.

I turned behind me and waved at them, "Bye guys I have to go before my teacher goes on a long lexure about me being lazy."

"Bye Hazel" Alice said with a big smile.

"bye---"

I ran passed the smelly middlers as I noticed that my teacher was stuck in the teacher's room with the principle. I wonder what was going on but I have to thank the principal for once she is stalling him. I turned the corner and hurriedly opening the door and closing it behind me just as the bell rang again.

I made it to my class before the teacher came and I sat down at my seat trying to catch my breath again.

"Hey...hey Hazel" I heard it say from my backpack.

I rolled my eyes hearing Grim. I pulled the backpack around to go on my lap and unzipping it. "What do you want, I'm in the middle of class right now," I whisper yelled.

"Who cares, I sure don't. I just wanted to remind you that Myler is going to confess to you after lunch," it said as it laid down on the makeshift bed I made with my old sock.

I rolled my eyes, "I know that all too well, thank you very much."

It sat up and looked me in the eyes with an amused face. I swear if we weren't in the middle of class right now then I would have definitely flung him halfway across the room. "So whats the plan are we going to make him suddenly sick?" It suggested.

"No, I would just feel bad." I sometimes wonder why it even brings these stuff up when it already knows I will reject it. Maybe it likes to push my buttons, well two can play that game.

"I have a better idea Grim. How about I make you follow him all day with no breaks or rest for the next two days and if you don't do so then I will have to punish you." I suggested with an evil smirk.

"That sounds terrible. I will not watch a middle school boy no matter how much you force me." Grim complained hiding under the sock.

"Then I guess we will be playing dress-up when we get him. I saw the cutest fluffy dress that I thought you would look great in." I said in fake excitement.

"Ok ok I will stop teasing you, so how about we really get serious," it said horrified in how I can think us such monstrous things.

"I win."

Grim rolled its eyes as it flicked an eraser at my forehead. I was beyond pissed but before threw my backpack on the floor Grim yelled, "Hey hey I just got a great idea!!!"

He said too loud though, "Shut up you are going to get us ca----"

"Is something wrong Hazel? You have been getting loud." My teacher said about to walk towards me.

I nervously laughed as I told him I was just thinking out loud about the lesson. He obviously didn't buy that but he could care less as long as I'm not being too loud.

I sighed in relief as I looked back down at Grim and gave it a death glare, "Say it."

It stiffened up as it nodded, "Then how about I mind control a teacher into forcing him to stay during lunch so he won't have the time."

I thought about it for a little. Although I don't like the idea of Grim controlling humans I couldn't think of any alternative methods, "Sounds good but then he can just confess the next day."

"True true," Grim said nodding

I knew it wasn't going to think that far into the future. "I will just wing it and if it gets to the extreme do something about it," I told it.

"Roger that," it said soluting to me.

"Hey, Hazel what in the world are you doing?" The teacher said from behind me, how in the world did he get there.

"Oh nothing," I said quickly throwing my bag on the floor. And of course grim let out a little yelp. Luckily he didn't hear it.

"Doesn't seem that way though." I looked up at him with a fake smile and said, "Can you just move on with the lesson, your job is to teach not interrogate me."

"Hazel..." he said threateningly.

"Come on your waisting time," I said taking out my notebook ready to learn.

He glared at me but gave in, "I will speak to you after class."

"Ok" I said with a smile.

He didn't have much to say to me after class, just to stay focused right when he enters the room. I nodded and went out of the room to get to my next class. Just three more periods to go until I have to deal with Myler.

~3 periods later~

I was having lunch with Alice and Myler was nowhere to be found, just like in my past life. My heart started to beat really fast at the thought that if this doesn't go right then I will just be repreating life again, not fixing it. My heart just kept beating, and beating without stop I don't want to mess this up.

"Um, Alice I have to go to the bathroom." I said excusing myself from the table and ran out the cafeteria, sweat dripping down my forehead. And as I was just about to make it to the bathroom, I bumped face first into Myler.

No, no, no I'm not ready. Not now please not now.

"So um... Hazel what a coincidence. I was just about to get you." He said shooked leaving a small pause until he continued with his face turning red, " I have something important to tell you."
