Insurrection

Joe takes everyone except Jennifer Hystory into the back bedrooms and locks the door, luckily that part of the house was not damaged in the explosion and can be used perfectly as a prison, Mrs. Wallace takes charge as soon as the door closes behind them. She pops open the panel above the door and pulls a fuse out which she explains will disable the door and keep them safe, she goes on to explain to everyone else that the room is explosion-proof and has a distress signal it emanates whenever the fuse box is pulled. Mrs. Wallace hurriedly pushes past Anne, Evan and Saif to enter the first of the three bedrooms, the others follow her in and watch as she reaches under one of the beds and activates something causing a panel in the wall to open and reveal a close circuit television, microphone and satellite phone. She dials up a number and a mans voice come on;

"What's your situation level?" he asks.

"Highest and we have a breach," she explains.

"We're on the way."

She hangs up the phone and then flips through the camera views on the monitor until she comes to the view showing the kitchen. They all gather around and watch the screen as Joe and Gary sedate Jen and lie her on the table, Nancy strolls over to her carrying a leather bundle. Nancy lies the bundle on the table and rolls it out revealing an array of surgical instruments each one more lethal-looking than the next, but Anne quickly recognizes one of the instruments that Nancy has picked up an ultrasound probe. Quickly she turns to Saif and asks him to take Evan into the other room, Saif can see the fear in her eyes and obey's quickly. Anne turns around to see the monitor and is met with an inquiring eye from Mrs. Wallace.

"What is she doing?" Mrs. Wallace asks.

"She is using that device to harvest eggs from Jen's ovaries, she is planning to grow her own time traveler, or she plans to manipulate a grown person's genes, but she would need human brain stem cells for that."

"How would she get that?" Asks Mrs. Wallace.

"She would need to extract them from a recently deceased body," Anne explains.

"She wouldn't!" Mrs. Wallace exclaims as she turns to face the monitor.

"Do you know the full extent of what she is planning?" Anne asks.

"Unfortunately."

Anne stands there looking at the screen waiting for a more detailed answer, but after a few minutes, she realizes she will never know everything that the woman before her knows.

Nancy stands before Jen laid out on the kitchen table, she has all the instruments and tools she needs to get what she wants, and that is the mutated gene of a time traveler. Joe stands to the other side prepared to perform the procedure to make that happen, Gary stands to watch at the blown-out opening in the side of the house prepared for the reinforcements to arrive. Joe exposes her from her abdomen down and spreads her legs exposing her to the world.

"Very nice..." Gary states from his position.

"Turn around and keep watch or I'll shoot you just to see what it would look like you sick bastard," Nancy exclaims pointing her gun at Gary's crotch. He turns around quickly and pouts.

"How do you get the eggs out?" Nancy inquires.

"Her eggs will be retrieved through transvaginal ultrasound aspiration, a surgical procedure performed normally under conscious sedation. Using a tube attached to this ultrasound probe, I'll guide a suctioning needle into each ovary and remove mature oocytes from the follicles. I should probably give her oral promethazine to prevent nausea during the procedure. Following Jen's egg retrieval, she should remain still for 1-2 hours and then get a day's bed rest for further recovery. I'll leave her an antibiotic such as oral doxycycline to prevent infection, They will probably have her checked out when we leave anyway," Joe explains as if he was back at the Army hospital.
