The year is 1966. 19 year old Zoe Henderson has been having difficulty sleeping for countless nights. She's worried about her boyfriend, Paul McCartney, who's in a coma. He ended up in one after getting into a car accident.

Let's take a look at a quick flashback of the accident...

One Month Ago

Paul was on his way from the studio, until a drunk driver came out of nowhere and crashed into his car, running him off the road. He jerked forwards and bumped his head and went unconscious.

Zoe was going for a walk until a damaged car caught her eye. "Must've been an accident or something." She said. Zoe walks closer to the car and sees a body inside. When she figured out who it was, her eyes widened. "No!!" She cried.

As fast as she could, Zoe ran over to the damaged car, opens the door, grabs Paul from under his arms, takes him out of the car, and gently lays him onto the ground. She then cradles her unconscious boyfriend into her arms. "Paul, are you okay?!" She asked worriedly. Paul didn't answer her. Zoe shakes him. "Can you hear me, sweetie?!" She asked as she's on the verge of tears. No movement still. Zoe shakes Paul again, but a little harder. "Paul, please wake up!!! I lost both of my parents, I can't lose you too!!" She cried.

Zoe continuously shook Paul. But no matter how many times she called his name or shook him, he was completely unresponsive. Zoe knew she had to get help. "Help!! Somebody, please help me!!! Hello?! Can anyone hear me?! My boyfriend needs help!!!!!!" She called.

A kind woman approaches Zoe, who's crying and bends down to her level. "Oh, honey, what's wrong?" She asked. "It's my boyfriend! He's unconscious and won't wake up!" Cried Zoe. "How did this happen?" Asked the woman. "I was going for a walk, and I saw his car looking damaged! I had a feeling he was in an accident!" Zoe said. "I'll help you, sweetheart. What's your name?" The woman asked. "Zoe Henderson. My boyfriend's name is Paul McCartney." Said Zoe. "The Beatles bassist?! Oh my gosh! Okay, I'll go call for help, and we'll get him to the hospital." Said the woman.

The ambulance arrived moments later. Paramedics put Paul's unconscious body onto the stretcher, and Zoe climbed into the back with him. The whole ride to the hospital, Zoe was crying her eyes out while holding Paul's hand in her's. Shortly after they arrived, Paul was placed into a room and was examined by the doctors. They eventually told Zoe about the dreadful news about her boyfriend being in a coma.

Present Day

As you heard early on, Zoe's parents are dead. She lost them a month before Paul's accident, and he was nice enough to let her live with him. Right now, Zoe is staring at the ceiling. She's trying to fall asleep, but she can't stop thinking about Paul. She worries he'll never get out of his coma and he'll die. Eventually, Zoe falls asleep.

Moments after sunrise, Zoe got herself dressed and immediately drove to the hospital. After she got there, she found Paul's room and saw him laying on his bed, still comatose. The doctor approached her as she walked into the room.

"Hello, Miss Henderson. We're very happy to inform you that your boyfriend is making great progress so far." Said the doctor. "Oh my gosh, really?!" Zoe asked excitedly. "Yes. We saw him move his head a little bit this morning, but his eyes are not yet opening." The doctor said. "Oh." Said Zoe. "Don't worry, Miss Henderson. Even though we don't know when exactly he's gonna wake up, he's getting better each day." Said the doctor. "That's excellent news!" Zoe said. "Okay, I know you would like to see him, so I'll let you have some time alone." The doctor said.

Zoe nods as the doctor steps aside. She walks over to her boyfriend's bed, pulls up the chair behind her, sits down, and holds Paul's hand. He has an air mask over his mouth. "Hi, Paulie. I heard your making great progress through your coma. That's wonderful! I can hardly wait to see your beautiful eyes open again!" Said Zoe with a smile.

Right before her eyes, Zoe saw Paul move his head just as the doctor said earlier. His eyes still remained closed, however. "Oh my goodness! Doctor, come quick!" Zoe said excitedly. The doctor comes over at the sound of her voice. "What is it, Miss Henderson?" He asked. "It's Zoe, first of all. Second, I saw him move, just like you told me!" Said Zoe. "Good! Now you know for sure that your boyfriend will be okay." Said the doctor. "I'm very relieved indeed." Zoe said with a smile.

A little while later, Zoe drove home from the hospital. She went up to her room and pulled out her record player. Now that she knew Paul was going to be okay, her mood was brightened up. "Hmm... which record should I listen to?" She wondered to herself. After a few moments of deciding, she picked The Beatles' record, Revolver. Once it turned on, Zoe flopped onto her bed and listened to most of the songs, until one made her get up and dance. She sang along as well.

You tell me that you've got everything you want
And your bird can sing
But you don't get me, you don't get me

You say you've seen Seven Wonders and your bird is green
But you can't see me, you can't see me

When your prized possessions start to weigh you down
Look in my direction, I'll be 'round, I'll be 'round

When your bird is broken will it bring you down
You may be awoken, I'll be 'round, I'll be 'round

You tell me that you've heard every sound there is
And your bird can swing
But you can't hear me, you can't hear me

Five songs later, Zoe sat back down on her bed and bobbed her head to the beat.

Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream
It is not dying, it is not dying

Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void
It is shining, it is shining

Yet you may see the meaning of within
It is being, it is being

Love is all and love is everyone
It is knowing, it is knowing

That ignorance and hates may mourn the dead
It is believing, it is believing

But listen to the colour of your dreams
It is not living, it is not living

So play the game "Existence" to the end
Of the beginning, of the beginning
Of the beginning, of the beginning

Of the beginning, of the beginning
Of the beginning, of the beginning

When Zoe heard the words, "turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream", that's what she immediately thought of doing afterwards. Once the record got done, she got ready for bed, and was finally able to sleep through the night. Relief washed over her as she remembered the doctor's words about Paul, and how he's making excellent progress. Soon enough, he'll finally wake up and get out of his coma.
