(Audrey's pov)

(A couple days later)

I woke up on a Wednesday morning. I've been trying to keep my distance from Ken after what happened a couple days ago.

After I was dressed I walked into the kitchen where everyone was.

"Morning." I greeted them.

They all looked over and just slightly waved at me. Nowadays I really miss my parents. Every morning I would come down they would give me a real, "good morning". Not just a wave.

"Ready to go?" Bridget asked walking up to me.

"Yeah." I nodded.

We got into Bridget's car. It was silent, then she spoke. "So... What's wrong with you?"

"I don't know." I shrugged. "I guess I just miss my family."

"Oh. I understand that, but you know you can't go back, right?" Bridget checked.

"Y-yeah I know." I nodded and looked down at my feet.

When we reached the school I said bye to Bridget and started walking in. Then I noticed Ken walking. So I quickly made my way inside before he saw me.

(Mal's pov)

It's been a couple days since what happened at the court. I've been spending some time with Evie. I've been trying to spend time with Ben, but he won't even talk to me. Or anyone for that matter.

(At school)

I was walking into school, then I saw Ben at his locker. So I quickly ran up to him and hugged him. I didn't feel him wrap around me. So I looked up at him.

"What are you doing?" He asked me not looking happy to see me.

"I haven't seen you in a while. You've been avoiding me." I told him.

"Yeah I need my space." He replied.

"I get that, but Ben I want to be there for you." I tried telling him.

"I know, but I'm sorry I need space." He pulled my arms off him and shut his locker, then left.

(Audrey's pov)

I was leaving my third period class and was walking down the hallway, then noticed someone was walking beside me. I looked over and noticed it was the girl from the party.

"Hey."  She said.

"Hello..." I replied awkwardly.

"You remember me?" She wondered.

"Yeah. Summer, right?" I replied checking.

"Yep. And you're, Jessica." Summer told me.

"Yep." I just nodded.

"So how are things going with "you know who." She asked.

"What do you mean?" I looked at her confused.

"I mean come on. It's obvious you like him, but you remember what I told you at the party, right?" Summer explained.

"Y-yeah I do." I hesitated. "But I just don't get what you mean."

"I just wanted to know what's going on with you two. Did he find a new girl and already move on?" Summer responded.

"Oh. No, no. I'm just keeping my distance from him." I told her.

"Oh I like it. Make him disappointed you won't get with him." Summer smirked.

"N-no that's not what I'm trying to do..." I was trying to tell her.
