5 Months Later

Things didn't work out. They never did. Jonathan and Amy decided it wasn't worth it. They hung out, but only if they were with the other Blackhawks or her brother and friend.

They quit texting. There was no doubt about it. Amy didn't even bother to tell Jonathan that she had landed a one-year foreign internship in France. She was leaving tomorrow and Jonathan had no idea.

The nearly full suitcase stared back at her. This is what she had always wanted. She was going through with this no matter how much her heart urged her to stay with Michael and Kasey. No matter how how much she wanted to run to Jonathan and ask for forgiveness.

Amy shook her head and walked over to her suitcase. She grabbed her favorite FSU Seminoles shirt and threw it towards her bed. She dug through her drawer looking for shirts that were important enough to take with her. Her eyes landed on the familiar red jersey. His jersey.

She grabbed the jersey and threw it towards her bed as well. After quickly closong that drawer she opened the next one and grabbed one more pair of pants.

Amy walked over to her closet and leaned down. She had two siutcases she could bring so she figured she would pack more than one pair of boots. She crouched down in front of her remaining shoes. Her hands skimmed the boots in front of her and grabbed a light brown pair.

The boots landed on the floor next to her bed next to her other black pair. She stood up and snatched her cowboy hat from the top of her closet and threw it over too. She grabbed her favorite jackets and threw them over as well.

Her feet slowly took her over to the black suitcase. She picked up the jersey and folded it and stuck it in the suitcase on top of everything else. Her hands had picked up the Seminoles shirt right as the doorbell rang.

She glanced down at her outfit and decided to answer the door despite the fact that she had a sports bra on. She left her bedroom and walked to the front door. Standing on her tippy toes she looked in the peephole.

Patrick 1 and 2

Her hand twisted the doorhandle and pulled open her door. Both men smiled down at her. Still slightly amused at her height.

"Nice outfit, Cowgirl." Was the first thing out of Sharpy's mouth. Amy rolled her eyes at Sharpy's nickname for her. He had been calling her that for the last 3 months. Patrick just shook his head and welcomed himself into her apartment followed behind Sharpy.

Amy closed the door behind them and followed them to the living room of her apartment.

"What do you guys want?" Amy asked as Patrick and Sharpy sat on her couch leaving Amy to sit in her one-man chair. Both chairs faced towards her TV which had Riduculousness playing on the screen.

"To say our goodbyes." Sharpy stated. "We wont be seeing you for at least 5 months when you come back for that two-week break they're giving you."

"You guys act like I'm dying or something." Amy replied with a smirk. They thought she would never return.

"Were just gonna miss you alot." Patrick said. "Does he know?"

Amy shook her head. She didnt want him to know. She wouldnt be able to handle him asking her not to go.

"Guys, I have to go and he would just beg me to stay." She sighed. "I leave tomorrow. If either of y'all wanna give me a ride then you're welcome to."

Patrick looked towards the TV then back at Amy.

"I love this show," Patrick laughed. "and I can take you tomorrow if it would help."

Amy nodded. "That way my car wont be left there." Both guys laughed.

Sharpy stood up. "Weve got to go. We have a game tonight. You coming?"

Amy shrugged. "I alot of final details to take care of, but if I cant go then itll be on my TV for sure."

"Bye Amy." Both guys said almost robotically.

"Au revoir." Amy said as the men left her apartment.

...........

The airport was abuzz with men and women trying to catch their flight. Amy wtched in amazment as she sat in her gate waiting for her plane to start bording. The intership company had given her first class seats to Paris where she would spend most of time learning French then becoming a foreign exchange student teacher/soccer coach.

The intercom announced first class tickets to start bording. Amy stood up and made her way to the tunnel that lead to the plane.

Well, here goes nothing.
