Elsa and Helena stood in Helena's dressing room, getting ready for the party. Helena let Elsa borrow a dress for the party, a long, puffed out black dress with shimmery lace across the bodice that held her curves nicely but didn't give anything away.
"Here's a mask that I absolutely adore!" Helena smiled, waltzing around in her tight mermaid dress that was a deep purple color. She brought over a mask to Elsa that was mostly red with black strips running across it in random places. It covered a lot of her cheeks with the way it was shaped so she wasn't sure if many people would recognize her.
"Thank you for everything, Helena. It's so kind of you to welcome me in your home and to let me borrow-"
"Sweetheart, you are the nicest woman I have met in a long time! I want to treat people how they should be treated. For wonderful people like you, I pamper them. For scum, I don't give the time of day." She said and looked into the mirror, fixing up a loose strand of her hair. "That's how you should be. You seem almost too nice. Some people don't deserve for you to be nice to them."
"I do what I have to. To keep peace between my countries and my people. I don't mean to offend you, but it's what a queen should do." Elsa said, placing the mask over her face, unsure of how long she'd be able to stand wearing the mask.
"I don't take any offense. It's nice to know you have a back bone when needed." Helena smiled and put on her simple black mask with blue feathers.
"Darling?" Leo asked, standing at the back of the room and waved at Elsa. "You look very nice, Elsa." He smiled, looking over to Helena. "Helena? You look wonderful, sweetheart. Are you ready to go to the party?"
"Yes, I'm coming." She smiled at him and they all left the dressing room.
Once they reached the downstairs area where all the guests were Elsa immediately looked for Hans but had no luck.
"Welcome everyone!" Leo announced from the front of the room. Everyone's heads turned to him, a massive crowd with everyone in masks and holding wine. "I'd like to welcome the Queen of Arendelle, Queen Elsa!" He smiled and everyone started clapping and to Elsa's advantage no one knew where she was so she quickly grabbed a glass of wine. Once the room returned to the party Elsa became uncomfortable without Hans or knowing anyone so she slipped out of the ballroom. She quietly slipped out of the room and out to a balcony nearby where no one could see her until Hans found her.
"Hi, beautiful." He whispered and laced his arms around her waist, placing his head in between her head and shoulder. "You're not enjoying your party?"
"I am. I just not a big fan of crowds." She said and turned around, making sure to not spill her wine. He was wearing a red tuxedo with black lapels and a black mask that covered most of his cheekbones but Elsa could still tell it was him from his emerald eyes.
"Come dance with me. We'll be the only ones in the room." He smiled and held out his hand, she smiled and took his hand happily. He steered them over into the ballroom and pulled her into his arms, bringing her into a waltz. For Elsa this was everything for her, the perfect man in the perfect night.
"Will you stay with me tonight?" Elsa asked, bringing the dance down to her wrapping her arms around his neck and his hands at her hips. "I want you to."
"You don't even have to ask." He smiled and wanted to kiss her, but knew that in the room full of people that they couldn't kiss. "What made you change your mind to wanting me to?"
"It's different now than it was before. I feel closer to you and like I know you better." She said, feeling the stares of everyone around them. They paid no mind to anyone but each other so Elsa didn't seem to worry much about them.
