What is happening? Why isn't he waking up? What should I do?

I can't make out what just happened in front of me. Tae was covered in sweat and his body was very cold, he is shivering. I covered him with a blanket and started searching for something else to keep him warm. I couldn't find anything. Such a big room and still nothing useful, at last, I had no other choice so  I originated blue flames from the tip of my wand.

They gracefully arose and begin floating above Tae. He was drenched in sweat. I inattentively wiped him with the sleeve of my blouse.
From the back of my hand, I felt his body warming up. I don't know what else should I do so I kept watching him. It felt like hours when he starts mumbling in his sleep. I can't figure out what he was muttering but he said my name and I immediately straighten up.

"Tae, can you hear me ?"

He did not respond so I tried again

"Tae how are you feeling?" My heart was beating very fast, I was very afraid.

"Grace..." Tae murmured

"Yes, I am here, can you hear me"

"Grace" He opened his eyes instantly, he looked petrified.

"What? Are you okay"

"You are here?" there was dejection in his voice

"Yes," he looked better "How are you feeling?"

"Grace, I had a really bad dream" he sat up and rubbed his eyes then widened them to look at me clearly

"What dream?"

"I was at a dark place and there were people with sticks like yours "  Tae looked pleased with the glimpse of me

"You mean wands" I raised mine in front of him as I said that.

"Yes and they were threatening me to stay away from you"

"Threaten! And where was I in your dream?" I asked

"You were there with them but you didn't recognize me"  Tae explained

"WHAT" I bellowed.

"You looked at me as if you were seeing me for the first time and they told me to stay away from you and that I have done enough damage" Tae dropped his head between his knees.

So weird I don't like it. Why would I not recognize him? I found it irrelevant but Tae was gloomy so I tried to cheer him up

"Forget it, it's just a dream"  I patted his shoulder gently and said cheerfully
"I am never going anywhere, you are stuck with me"

Tae looked at me and gave me a faint smile.

"Do you see these too or it's just me" he pointed at the blue flames above him without looking at them.

"Yes, I do see them. I made them"

"You can make fire" he immediately looked at the elegant flames "why are they blue"

"Because they are cold flames" I stretched my hand and one of the flames hopped on it "See, they are friendly. They don't burn you they just give you warmth when you need them"

Tae did the same and started stroking it with a boxy smile on his face.

"How are you feeling now ?" I asked

"Better,  just a little tired, oh" Tae let go of the cold flame and glanced  at me

"you said you were being watched, how did you come"

"My aunt is very sick so Mom and Dad are going to visit her. They left just after I called you. They won't be back soon. I don't know if I should call it luck or not but whatever I am here" I shouldn't be happy at this news but I was and so was Tae. His smile became more bright.

"And better news, I came up with an idea to be in touch without getting caught,"  I said

"What idea ?" He asked excitedly

"Watch this" I took my wand and made a circle with it. The circle lightened and two parchments emerged from it. One longer than another.

"Woah! What are these" Tae exclaimed, now observing the parchments closely

"It's an old-school way of communicating" I explained "The girls at my school use these to talk during lessons without being caught"

"How do they work ?"

"Very simple, you write on one and it appears with a glow on another" I showed him by writing HELLO TAE on one and it appeared on another. He was impressed, his expression was priceless.

"It glows when you write, convenient. It works like notifications" I gave him the long one and took the short one myself and explained "Yours is longer because it can't be destroyed without you, it's good for you to take this. Mine can be lost, or burnt but yours can't. You are its owner now and even if mine gets destroyed if you write on yours it will remake mine. Understood ?"

"Yes" Tae was still astonished

"It's getting late. You should get some sleep" I took the cold flames back into my wand.

"I am scared," Tae said gloomily and I was surprised by his sudden change in mood

"Of what ?"

"Of the dream, what if you forget me"

I sighed deeply and said calmly

"Look Tae it isn't easy to make someone forget and the magic that is used is always under the watch of ministry and fortunately my dad works in that department. So you have more than one reason to be assured that no one will do that to me"

Tae looked convinced and nodded

"I will come back soon. You should get some rest now" I waved goodbye and he waved back.

I disappeared into the darkness with the fear that his dream might come true.
