Avani turned away. "Traitor."
"W-what? Avani what are you saying?"
"Y-you betrayed me. You worked for Azalea and Paytra."
"Avani."
There wasn't hatred in her voice.
There was only gentleness.
"You're misunderstanding."
"Azalea...she- she-"
"I know."
"Traitor!"
Cole tried to calm Avani down. "Avani. Hear her out. Please?"
Avani took a big breath and nodded.
Datura smiled. "Where do you want me to start?"
"The beginning."
"Of?"
"Everything."
Datura smiled. "Everything it is then."
She walked closer to Avani and took Cole's hand.
"W-what?"
"Take my hand. I'll do better than just tell you."
Avani tilted her head. "...what?"
Datura smiled. "I'll show you."
And so Avani took her hand.
It was like they traveled to another universe.
They stood in front of a baby Datura.
Datura looked at both Cole and Avani. "Welcome to my life. We don't exist in this world. Only our past."
Baby Datura opened her eyes.
She didn't cry.
Didn't make a sound.
She was alone.
She looked around.
"I had no one from the moment I was brought into this world. My own parents abandoned me. Left me to die. But I lived."
Time fast-forwarded and they were seeing Datura as a toddler.
"This is when I found Aurora."
A small girl with ebony black hair and crystal blue eyes came bouncing towards toddler Datura.
"Hi!"
Toddler Datura tilted her head to one side.
"I didn't understand a word. No one was there to teach me," sad Datura. "She was the first that cared for me."
The scene shifted and now they saw teenage Datura. Around the age of 14.
"And she became my best friend."
Teenage Datura and Aurora were fighting a monster.
A gigantic flower monster to be exact.
"And little by little, I realized that I didn't just feel friendship."
They saw the victory of the two girls.
"It was love."
Avani gasped.
Datura smiled. "Yes. Love. I didn't know back then because I didn't know how to love. I didn't know what love was. Until it was too late."
Suddenly, Aurora fell down with an arrow impaled in her chest.
Teenage Datura shrieked and cried.
Tried to help her, but it was too late.
"And from that day on-"
They were now seeing Datura sipping tea with Razor and Azalea.
"-I was found by them. My two best friends. Well, my old two best friends."
The scene evaporated and Avani felt like she was being pulled by gravity.
They were back in the dark room.
"But then, little by little, I felt the pain. The pain of losing the love of your life. The pain of losing the only person that cared for you. That's when I realized I was bisexual."
Avani gasped quietly.
"Of course, I didn't dare to tell anyone about it. I was too afraid to. Maybe they'll abandon me, maybe they'll hate me, maybe they'll think I'm disgusting.
"And that's when things got complicated. Azalea and Razor explained that everyone has an element- you already know this stuff- and after...I-"
Datura choked up.
"I shook her hand and held eye contact. And I-"
She took a deep breath.
"And that's when I found out that making weapons wasn't the only power I had."
