DO ME A FAVOUR!

AS THE sun shined through the white, dusty curtains, bambi kinsey was looking into the mirror of her vanity, applying her mascara as she does every morning.

though today was much more special than other days; it was the first day of sophomore year at creekwood. she had be going to creekwood since preschool and knew everyone that was attending high school with her. but sure, freshman year was great but sophomore year was another step up until graduation, which she was dying for.

a knock on bambi's door was received and the girl knew exactly who it was.

"come in, camryn." she called from her vanity, now finishing her makeup.

camryn ran through the door, landing on bambi's still unmade bed. the girl shot back up immediately, a smile across her face.

"somebody had too much coffee this morning." bambi let out a laugh, followed by camryn rolling her eyes.

"i got here fifteen minutes early, i heard there was a new kid at school today." camryn said, reading the creek secrets post from lake.

"great, i'm sure i'll find him at some point today, camryn. now give me two more seconds to make my bed." i said, gesturing her off of my bed.

"so first day of sophomore year, anything exciting you're doing?" she asked, helping with making my bed.

"other than going to class, no. wanna come over later?" i asked her, a smile across my face.

"do you still have to ask, we've friends since first grade." camryn said, giving me a look, as if she's saying "are you serious?"

"shut up, cam. we need to get to school." i laughed, grabbing my backpack and heading down the stairs of my house and immediately beginning our descent to school.

"THERE HE is!" camryn said, slapping me on the arm.

"shit, that hurt, cam!" i winced, grabbing my arm. as i looked to the new kid, the familiar face of felix weston was walking beside him. to sum it up for everybody, felix and i don't have a good track record with one another. after andrew and i gave him the awful name of lone stone years ago, he's hated me. after endless amounts of me apologizing to him, he's still pissed at me and so i gave up on trying to remotely be civil with him. basically, he's my enemy, i guess.

"i can meet him later." i smiled, trying to walk away only for camryn to grab my wrist.

"forget about felix, just meet him." she said, shoving me towards, him making me almost run into the poor kid.

"sorry, my friend here doesn't understand that you shouldn't shove people in the hallway." i said, very passive aggressively.

"it's okay." he said, very quietly.

"don't worry about her, victor. you'll want to avoid this one." felix said, practically shooting pins and needles at me with his eyes.

"victor, is it? i'm bambi! welcome to creekwood!" i said, putting my hand out for him to shake. it took him a second to process what i was doing, but finally, i received a handshake from him.

"anyways, how is the she devil doing after the summer?" felix asked.

"oh, i'm great, lone stone." i said. hey, fair game if i'm being called the she devil.

"it was nice meeting you, victor. i better get to class before lone stone here picks me in a fight." i said, giving victor a smile and a wave before walking with camryn to class.

"so how's felix?" camryn asked, rhetorically.

"still hates me, obviously." i rolled my eyes, finding an open seat in the classroom.

"maybe you two just need to talk more." camryn suggested. cam always came up really good ideas, that's why she's the absolute best friend anybody could ever have. but in this case, it was an awful idea.

"you don't think i've tried, i don't want to be called she devil every two seconds." i said, rolling my eyes.

"give it a try at least, bamb." camryn whispered, as class was about to start.

quickly, before the teacher started to shut the door, victor and felix rushed to the last two empty seats.

"before we start today, we have a new student; victor salazar, raise your hand." the sleep deprived teacher said, followed by the raised hand of victor. i gave him a smile, felix, from behind victor, gave me a dirty look. god, can he get over himself?

"today, you'll be assigned project partners for the first project of the year." the teacher said, followed by the groans of the students. she sat down in her chair, reading down the list of students, pairing them with one another.

"mia brooks with victor salazar." she said. felix gave victor a congratulation look, seeming happy for his new friend.

"camryn dolcy with andrew spencer." camryn got really excited to be paired with andrew. seems like a likely pair since i know camryn has a thing for andrew.

"felix weston with... bambi kinsey." i choked on my breath hearing my name following his. what in the world? i was working with felix? this was going to be an absolute nightmare. i knew felix and i had the same reaction, as i turned around to see his even more shocking expression.

hey! i know it's been a second since i
posted the playlist but i promise i've
been working slowly with this story!
if i'm not updating as much in more
recent weeks to come, it because of
marching band. i got selected as
field commander and i'm going to
be putting almost all of my focus on
band. but i definitely won't forget
about my stories, i will continue to
work on them, just slower than normal
